Doctors' responses

Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.

I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.

Your symptoms suggest a significant imbalance, primarily involving Vata and Pitta doshas. Vata is responsible for movement and communication within the body, and its disturbance can lead to irregularities like dream emissions, joint pain, and digestive issues. Pitta, which governs digestion and metabolism, may be contributing to your digestive discomfort and feelings of heat or acidity.

The recurrent dream emissions and sticky urine suggest a Vata imbalance, likely due to mental stress or overactivity, leading to an overexcited nervous system. The curvature of the penis and joint sounds can also be linked to Vata, indicating dryness and lack of stability in the body.

Digestive issues such as IBS, frequent toilet visits, and fluctuating appetite point to both Vata and Pitta disturbances. Vata can cause irregular bowel movements, while Pitta may lead to inflammation and acidity in the digestive tract.

Your lack of energy and feelings of depression or dissatisfaction may be a result of these imbalances, affecting your overall vitality and mental clarity.

Ayurveda views these symptoms as interconnected rather than isolated issues. The systemic imbalance likely stems from lifestyle factors, stress, diet, and perhaps an irregular daily routine.

To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.

Please answer each question as clearly as possible.

1. How long have you been experiencing the joint pain, and how would you describe its severity? 2. Are there specific foods or situations that seem to trigger your digestive issues or dream emissions? 3. Can you describe your sleep pattern? Do you feel rested, or is your sleep disturbed? 4. How is your appetite throughout the day? Are there specific times when it’s better or worse? 5. Have you noticed any connection between your mood or stress levels and your symptoms? 6. Describe your daily routine, including diet, exercise, and any relaxation practices. 7. Have you tried any specific treatments or lifestyle changes that provided temporary relief?

Your detailed responses will help the doctors provide you with a more tailored and effective treatment plan.
