This kind of cleansing with castor oil is usually done to remove accumulated toxins (ama) and regulate bowel movement, but since your digestion is mostly fine and motions are daily, strong cleansing is not always required and should be done gently taking 2 tablespoons directly may be a bit strong for first time and can cause loose motions, कमजोरी or dehydration it is better to start with a mild and controlled dose medicines you can take castor oil 1 teaspoon at night with warm milk once a week initially see how your body responds, if comfortable then you can slowly increase to 1–2 teaspoons but no need to go to high doses frequently do not take it daily, once in 7–10 days is enough for mild cleansing on the day you take it, keep diet light like khichdi, soups and drink enough warm water avoid using it if you feel weakness, dehydration or if digestion is disturbed for regular health, daily cleansing is not needed, maintaining good diet, hydration and routine itself keeps system clean Heartful pranams Dr Raghuveer SN (Ayurvedacharya)
