I’m sorry you’re dealing with this—finding multiple things on a scan at once can feel overwhelming. The good news is that many ovarian cysts and small gallbladder stones do not automatically need surgery, but they do need proper follow-up based on symptoms and scan details. Cysts of 2.5 cm and 3.5 cm are relatively small/moderate in reproductive-age women. Many are functional cysts (related to ovulation) and can disappear on their own in a few cycles. Also a 7.5 mm gallstone does not always require surgery if it was found accidentally and you have no typical gallbladder symptoms. If you upload or type the exact ultrasound report wording wheather it is simple cyst / hemorrhagic cyst / chocolate cyst / endometrioma / dermoid / complex cyst? That wording changes advice significantly. Please take an appointment because ive to take history in detail
Both ovaries are seen adjacent to each other posterior to the uterus with adhesions Right ovary: Cyst with dense internal echoes measuring 28x 24mm noted in the right Left ovary Cyst with dense internal echoes measuring 35 x 33mm noted in the left POD Free
Your scan findings are important and need proper follow-up. Since both ovaries are lying close behind the uterus with adhesions and both cysts have dense internal echoes, this pattern can be suggestive of endometriosis / endometrioma (chocolate cysts) rather than simple harmless cysts. That can also explain your severe painful periods. These are not very large cysts, so emergency surgery is not automatically required But because you have severe pain affecting daily life, treatment is definitely needed. Currently, I can start you on supportive medicines to help reduce pain, inflammation, hormonal imbalance, and sometimes help functional cysts regress naturally I still need to take your history in detail (age, marriage status, pregnancy plans, cycle pattern, bleeding pattern, pain symptoms, previous illness, weight, bowel symptoms) to guide the best treatment. Kindly book an appointment for a personalized plan.
