To control hair thinning, hair fall, and dandruff through Ayurveda, focus on both internal nourishment and external treatments. Regular scalp massages with bhringraj oil or amla oil can promote hair growth and strengthen hair follicles. Fenugreek and coconut oil with curry leaves help nourish the scalp and reduce dandruff. For internal health, include protein-rich foods, amla, and omega-3 fatty acids in your diet to support hair strength and growth. Iron and zinc-rich foods are also crucial. Practicing stress reduction through yoga and pranayama is essential, as stress contributes to hair loss. Use gentle, herbal shampoos and avoid heat treatments to minimize damage. Supplementing with Triphala and ashwagandha can support overall health and hair vitality. Consistent use of these Ayurvedic remedies and lifestyle adjustments can help reduce hair fall, improve thickness, and control dandruff over time.

Hair thinning, especially when it runs in the family, can be quite daunting but ayurveda has some practices to help manage this. We’re gonna dive into a bit of what you can try. First thing, let’s talk doshas – they’re like forces within you, and when outta balance, hair gets affected. Vata and Pitta doshas imbalance is usually behind hair issues.

Start by keeping your scalp cool and nourished. Oils like bhringraj and amla are fantastic! You might wanna try massaging your scalp with these oils at least 2-3 times a week, ideally before bed, and wash in the morning. It feeds your hair the nutrients it craves! Make sure you’re using a sulphate-free shampoo that suits your scalp’s constitution – too harsh, and it rebels.

Ah the diet – you’re what you eat, they say, and it’s so true here. Focus on eating whole foods, rich in proteins and antioxidants. Think ghee, almonds, sesame seeds and green veggies! They nourish the hair from the inside, helping it grow stronger and thicker. Stay away from too much spicy, fried, or fermented stuff - they can aggravate Pitta causing more heat, and that ain’t great.

Regular exercise and yoga help balance doshas as well. Pranayama – like kapalbhati – boosts circulation which aids hair health. Even reducing stress through meditation can halt hair loss. Seriously, stress hormones kick the follicles when they’re down.

Now about that dandruff. Seek neem oil for a quick fix. It’s antifungal and helps cleanse the scalp. Maybe use it once a week? This would reduce the itch and flakes, part of why hair weaken and fall.

But, it’s important to note, Ayurveda can help enhance hair strength and routine growth but sometimes, given the heriditary edge, complete reversal might not be feasible. However, these steps can sure improve texture and reduce further loss. Maintaining patience and consistency with this routine is key. If things still don’t improve, consider consulting direct with an Ayurvedic practioner for a tailored plan.
