According to Ayurveda, your symptoms—dry flaky dandruff on the scalp, redness, itching, and bleeding/cracking around the scalp, eyebrows, sides of the nose, and ears—suggest a combination of Vata-Pitta aggravation, with involvement of the skin (Twak) and scalp. Dry scales indicate Vata predominance, while redness and bleeding point toward Pitta aggravation. Ayurvedic Management 1. External Treatment (Scalp and Affected Areas) Medicated Oil Application Apply one of the following oils 2–3 times weekly: Neelibhringadi Taila – helps nourish the scalp, reduce dandruff, and calm irritation. Ksheerabala Taila – useful when dryness and sensitivity are prominent. Nalpamaradi Taila – beneficial if redness and inflammation are significant. How to use: Warm the oil slightly. Apply gently to the scalp and affected areas. Leave for 30–60 minutes. Wash with a mild herbal or gentle shampoo. For the eyebrows, sides of the nose, and behind the ears, apply a small amount of virgin coconut oil or the prescribed medicated oil at bedtime. 2. Internal Ayurvedic Medicines These are commonly used for chronic skin disorders Mahamanjisthadi Kwath – supports healthy skin and helps reduce inflammation. Khadirarishta – traditionally used in recurrent skin conditions. Gandhak Rasayan – often used for itching, scaling, and skin health. 3. Dietary Recommendations Foods to Include Freshly cooked, light meals. Green leafy vegetables. Bitter vegetables such as bitter gourd and fenugreek. Seasonal fruits. Adequate water intake. Foods to Avoid Excess sweets and sugar. Deep-fried and oily foods. Fast food and processed foods. Excessively spicy, sour, or fermented foods. Excess alcohol (if applicable). 4. Lifestyle Measures Avoid scratching the scalp and skin lesions. Manage stress through yoga, meditation, or breathing exercises. Sleep adequately and maintain a regular routine. Avoid very hot water for washing the scalp and face. Keep the scalp clean, but avoid excessive shampooing that worsens dryness. Home Remedies Coconut Oil Apply a thin layer of pure coconut oil to dry, flaky areas at night. It helps soothe irritation and reduce scaling. Aloe Vera Gel Fresh aloe vera gel can be applied to the scalp and facial lesions for 15–20 minutes before washing. It may help calm redness and irritation.

In Ayurveda, the condition you are describing with its severe dry, flaky dandruff (Darunaka) accompanied by raw redness and bleeding on the scalp, nose, ears, and eyebrows points to a profound aggravation of both Vata and Pitta doshas, alongside an imbalance in Rakta Dhatu (the blood tissue). The presence of scaling indicates excessive dryness from Vata, while the inflammation, intense redness, and bleeding point directly to a sharp rise in Pitta. Because you are experiencing active bleeding, we must adjust your requested remedies with clinical precision to avoid further irritation. Right now, your skin barrier is compromised and raw; therefore, highly acidic ingredients like pure lemon juice must be completely avoided as they will cause severe burning and worsen the inflammation. Similarly, avoid any vigorous rubbing or scratching during your oil massages. When applying a gentle massage to the scalp or soles of your feet with Brahmi oil, or when using a soothing Neem oil mixed with sesame or coconut oil, use only the soft pads of your fingers with incredibly light, circular pressure to calm the neural receptors and reduce stress-induced cortisol. For your internal healing, drinking a lukewarm cup of Brahmi Milk made by boiling 1/2 teaspoon of Brahmi powder with 1 cup of milk and a pinch of saffron 30 minutes before bed will help put your nervous system into repair mode and naturally lower the systemic heat aggravating your Pitta. For cleansing, your custom Ayurvedic Hair Cleanser formula combining 2 parts each of Reetha and Shikakai, 1 part each of Fenugreek, Hibiscus, Bhringraj, and Brahmi, and 1/2 part each of Yashtimadhu, Neem leaves, and Manjistha must be handled with care. Take 1 teaspoon of this coarse herbal powder and blend it into a very smooth, watery paste using cooling aloe vera gel or lukewarm water. Apply it gently to the affected areas of the scalp, but leave it on for a shorter duration of just 10 to 15 minutes instead of the usual 30, ensuring it does not dry out into a hard, crusty layer that could tear the bleeding skin when rinsed. Wash it away thoroughly using a very mild, non-stripping herbal cleanser. If you choose to use the yogurt remedy to moisturize, ensure the yogurt is fresh, entirely sweet, and not sour, and omit the lemon entirely until the skin has completely closed and healed. True healing, however, must come from within through strict dietary modification to cool the blood. You must actively reduce and eliminate excessive sugar, heavily fried foods, and highly processed items from your daily meals, as these fuel the inflammatory fire. Instead, flood your system with hydrating, blood-purifying nutrients by including plenty of fresh fruits, green vegetables, clean water, and rich sources of Omega-3 like flaxseeds to rebuild your skin’s natural lipid barrier. Please monitor your progress very closely. Because you are experiencing open bleeding near vital sensory organs like your eyes, nose, and ears, it is absolutely imperative that you seek a formal, in-person evaluation from an Ayurvedic physician or a conventional dermatologist. If you notice signs of a secondary bacterial infection such as worsening pain, spreading warmth, yellow crusting, pus discharge, or a fever you must seek immediate medical attention to protect your skin and ensure a safe, complete recovery.

••Here is a comprehensive clinical approach to manage and heal this from within and outside. 1. External Management (Lepa & Shiro-Abhyanga) When the skin is broken and bleeding, the first goal is to soothe inflammation (Pitta-Shitikarana) and heal the tissue before aggressively tackling the flakes. ••For the Face (Nose, Brows, Ears): Apply pure Shatadhauta Ghrita (100-times washed clarified butter) or fresh Aloe Vera gel mixed with a pinch of Yastimadhu (Licorice) powder. This acts as an immediate cooling, healing agent that stops bleeding and repairs the skin barrier without burning. ••For the Scalp (Gentle Application): Avoid heavy oiling if the scalp is oozing, but if it is dry and bleeding, use Marichyadi Taila or Neem Neem Oil blended with Coconut oil (in a 1:3 ratio). Coconut oil is cooling (Pitta-samaka) and will not aggravate the redness. Apply it very gently with cotton balls; do not scrub or scratch. Herbal Wash: ••Instead of chemical shampoos, wash the affected areas with a lukewarm decoction of Neem and Triphala. Boil Neem leaves and Triphala powder in water, let it cool completely to room temperature, strain it thoroughly, and use it to rinse the scalp and face. It is naturally antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. 2. Internal Ayurvedic Formulations Internal purification is crucial because the Rakta (blood) needs to be detoxified to stop the facial redness and bleeding. Rakta Prasadana & Shodhana (Blood Purifiers): ••Kaishore Guggulu: 2 tablets twice a day after meals with lukewarm water. It is excellent for skin conditions involving redness, flaking, and blood vitiation. ••Mahamanjisthadi Kwath or Khadirarishta: 15–20 ml with an equal quantity of water, twice a day after meals. These are premier blood-purifying liquids in Ayurveda. Pitta Pacifiers: ••Gandhak Rasayan: 1 tablet (250 mg) twice a day. It acts as a natural broad-spectrum Rasayana for stubborn skin issues. ••Kamadhudha Ras (with Mukta): 1 tablet twice a day if there is a severe burning sensation or heat in the body. ••Lifestyle & Stress Management (Vihara) Never Scratch: Scratching introduces secondary bacterial infections and worsens the bleeding. ••Viruddha Ahara: Avoid incompatible food combinations, specifically milk with fish, milk with salt, or milk with sour fruits, as these are direct causes of skin diseases (Kustha/Kshudra roga) in Ayurveda. ••Manage Stress: Pratishyaya (chronic sinus stress) and mental stress directly aggravate Seborrheic Dermatitis. Practice Anulom Vilom Pranayama for 10–15 minutes daily to calm the nervous system and balance Vata.
