Male pattern baldness is largely genetic. Natural hair care may improve hair quality but usually does not reverse baldness. Take Hair oil (Bhringraj or rosemary-infused coconut oil): 2–3 times/week, massage for 15–20 minutes. Aloe vera gel: 1–2 times/week on scalp for 30 minutes, then rinse. Egg mask: once every 1–2 weeks if tolerated. Shikakai powder can be used to wash off oil instead of shampoo. Rosemary: Use rosemary essential oil diluted to 2–3 drops in 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Apply 2–3 times/week. Bathing: Daily bathing is fine. Avoid very hot water on the scalp. Hair can be rinsed with plain water daily if desired. Apple cider vinegar: Mix 1–2 tablespoons in 1 cup water. Use as a final rinse after washing; it may help reduce odor and residue. Ayurvedic medicines: Bhringrajasava 15 ml + equal water twice daily after meals. Amalaki Rasayana 1 teaspoon daily after breakfast.

It is antimicrobial and reduces bacterial overgrowth.
