A few days ago, I accidentally scraped my knee while hiking. The wound is pretty deep and painful, and while it’s not bleeding heavily, I’m worried about how to properly care for it. The skin around the wound has a raw, red appearance, and I can tell it’s going to take a while to heal. I’ve been cleaning it with antiseptic, but I’m not sure if there’s anything else I should be doing to prevent infection or speed up the healing process.
