Male , 51 yrs, Have been having acute gastritis, Frequent body heat, constipation so using Dabur laxative everyday, Fatty liver grade 1 with mean 262 and median 6.9, IQR 9%. Black Patches on toung both the corner sides. Weight has been increasing for the last few months from 65 to 70 kgs. Sleep disturbance every day. Sometimes even after 7-8 hrs sleep don't feel fresh. Feel sick with cough and cold very frequently these days. Dry mouth during night and day at times as well.

Long-term laxative use can weaken digestion, so it’s best to replace it with Triphala Churna (1 tsp with warm water at night) for natural bowel regulation but not more than a month. Arogyavardhini Vati (1 tablet twice daily) supports liver health, while Avipattikar Churna (1 tsp before meals) can reduce acidity and body heat. For sleep and fatigue, take Ashwagandharishta (20ml with water at bedtime) and practice foot massage with Brahmi oil. Avoid spicy, fried, and fermented foods, and favor light, warm meals like moong dal khichdi, ghee, and steamed vegetables. Do you experience burping, bloating, or headaches frequently? Regular morning walks, yoga (like Vajrasana), and deep breathing will help digestion and energy levels. Go for basti chikitsa for better solution to your GIT issues.

Alright, let’s try to make sense of what’s going on here. From an Ayurvedic perspective, it looks like there might be an imbalance in your Pitta dosha, that’s related to digestion, heat and inflammation. The black patches on the tongue often hint towards Ama, or toxins, accumulated in the body, usually from digestive issues or improper metabolism.

About the diet — try cutting back on very spicy and oily foods, as they might be worsening the heat and the fatty liver thing. Instead, focus on light, cooling foods like cucumber, coconut water, aloe vera juice, and green vegetables. Minimize caffeine and alcohol consumption since they can mess with both the liver and your sleep rhythm.

Your daily routine might benefit from including more relaxation activities, like deep breathing or even light yoga. Especially given the dry mouth and sleep problems, try to time your meals well — give a 3-hour gap before hitting the bed. Also, see if Triphala (an Ayurvedic herb) before bed might be a more gentle laxative than what you’re using. Helps with cleansing and digestion without making you reliant on it.

The weight gain and fatigue despite sleeping well, could be due to Kapha imbalance too, which might have come from your irregular routines. Try to stay active during the day but stay cautious not to overdo it if you’re feeling unwell.
