Sarvar it is indigestion, Start with— tsp dry ginger powder + pinch of rock salt + warm water → This wakes up your digestion. OR *Hingvashtak churna: ½ tsp with warm water before meals (3x/day).

*Triphala Churna | 1 tsp at bedtime |

Step 3: Diet Reset – Easy on Gut, Powerful for Healing

Eat: Moong dal khichdi (soft), ghee, jeera

Boiled/steamed lauki, parwal, pumpkin

Buttermilk (diluted curd with jeera, hing) — not plain milk

Fennel tea, ajwain water, ginger tea

Warm water only (never cold)

❌ Avoid:

Tomato, peas, chana (all forms), dates, nuts, biryani, biscuits

Fermented, oily, reheated, cold food

Tea, coffee, milk, yogurt

Pickles, vinegar, wheat flour bread

You can start a tea— Ajwain + Saunf (fennel) + Jeera tea – boil 1 tsp each in 1 litre, sip throughout the day → Reduces gas, aids digestion

Your symptoms suggest an imbalance in your digestive system that may align with Ayurveda’s concept of agni, or digestive fire, being weak. This could be related to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, responsible for movement and elimination processes in the body. When Vata is disturbed, it can lead to constipation and difficulty digesting certain foods.

First, try to establish routine. Regular meal times help to regulate the digestive system. Eat your largest meal at midday when your agni is strongest. Avoid eating late at night or on the go, as stress can weaken digestion.

Include warming, easy-to-digest foods in your diet. Soups, stews, and well-cooked grains, preferable rice, can be soothing. Avoid cold, raw foods, as they can dampen agni.

Herbs such as ginger, cumin, and fennel can be added to meals to stimulate digestion. You might drink warm water with a bit of lemon and honey in the morning to help stimulate digestion too. Take note of how your body responds to these adjustments.

On an empty stomach, consider having a teaspoon of triphala powder mixed with warm water before bed. This traditional remedy helps to support regular elimination and balances Vata.

If you’re experiencing regular constipation, abhyanga or self-massage with warm sesame oil might be useful. This can help balance Vata, and should be followed by a warm bath for maximum benefit.

Avoid stimulants like caffeine and decrease intake of processed foods, both of which can aggravate Vata. Allergy to certain foods could also be considered if problems persist despite these lifestyle changes.

Certainly, if symptoms do not resolve or worsen, consult a healthcare provider for further immediate evaluation. Ayurveda is a supportive therapy, but it’s important to pursue any necessary medical treatment as well.
