Heart palpitations and restlessness can sometimes be related to anxiety and sensitivity to loud noises. In Ayurveda, this may indicate an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement in the body and can influence the nervous system. This doesn’t always mean there’s something wrong with your heart, but it’s good to approach this with a balanced perspective.

Firstly, considering your symptoms and if they’re fairly new, or have increased in intensity, it might indeed be wise to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough check-up to rule out any heart conditions. Better being safe than sorry when it comes to your heart. A simple ECG or other standard tests may give you and your doctor some insight and peace of mind.

Ayurvedically speaking, focusing on harmonizing your Vata dosha can help you manage your symptoms and improve your overall well-being. Here are some practical suggestions that can be easily integrated into your daily routine:

1. Diet & Nutrition: Stick to warm, cooked meals and drinks to pacify Vata. Avoid foods that are very dry, light, or too cold. Favor grounding foods like whole grains, cooked vegetables, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats — ghee can be quite beneficial here.

2. Herbal Support: Herbs such as Ashwagandha and Brahmi are known for their Vata balancing and calming properties. Take these under guidance from a practitioner to properly address your specific needs and dosis.

3. Lifestyles Changes: Establish a daily routine that provides stability. Try waking and going to sleep around the same time each day. Gentle yoga or stretching in the morning can improve energy flow and calm the mind.

4. Stress management: Incorporate relaxation techniques into your life like meditation, deep-breathing exercises, or Pranayama (breath control practice) to soothe anxiety.

If your discomfort significantly worsens or changes, it’s always a good practice to promptly seek medical advice. In some cases, anxiety and palpitation may have deeper roots, and a holistic approach combining Ayurvedic insights alongside medical evaluation can offer well-rounded care.

Heart palpitations and sensitivity to loud noise often relate to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement and the nervous system. This can be heightened by stress, irregular routines, or dietary habits disruptive to Vata. Restlessness and anxiety are common expressions of this imbalance. While these sensations can sometimes be benign, recurring or severe palpitations warrant medical evaluation, so check with a healthcare professional to rule out any serious cardiac conditions.

For managing this through Siddha-Ayurvedic principles, begin by establishing a stable daily routine, as consistency helps pacify Vata. Go to bed and wake up at the same times every day. Include calming practices such as yoga or pranayama (breathing exercises) to soothe the mind and the nervous system. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) particularly can help ease anxiety and balance Vata.

Next, focus on your diet. Consume warm, nourishing foods with mild spices like ginger and cumin, which can help stabilize Vata. Avoid raw, cold, and dry foods that exacerbate this dosha. Aim to eat at regular intervals in a calm environment to aid your digestion and maintain stable metabolic fire (Agni).

Incorporate herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi—they’re known in Siddha tradition to support the nervous system and promote mental calm. You can prepare a tea using these herbs by boiling a teaspoon of each in water and drinking it twice daily.

Since your situation involves palpitations and anxiety, conscious relaxation time each day is vital. Practice meditation or listen to calming music to gently ease sensitivity to noise. Avoid stimulants like caffeine and limit screen time particularly before sleep.

Again, please consult a medical professional to evaluate any serious underlying issues. If extreme discomfort continues, it might require additional investigation to safeguard your well-being.
