Chest discomfort and associated anxiety can be distressing, especially when traditional tests like ECG and echo don’t find anything amiss. In Ayurveda, such symptoms could be related to the imbalance of Vata dosha, which influences movement and air in the body, causing unease or restlessness.

A starting point could be adopting a routine that pacifies Vata. It is suggested to establish a consistent daily routine, involving waking up and going to bed at the same time each day. This helps in stabilizing vata energise and reduces erratic bodily rhythms.

Incorporating warm, nourishing foods into your diet may be beneficial. Think of meals like vegetable stews or cooked grains with generous amounts of ghee to ground the Vata dosha. Spices such as ginger, cinnamon, and cumin can enhance digestion and balance Vata energy as well. Avoid caffeine and overly spicy foods, as these can aggravate anxiety.

Simple, regular breathing exercises can further aid in relaxation. Pranayama, focusing on deep inhalation and extended exhalation, can soothe the nerves. Practice Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) for about five minutes daily to bring calmness and clarity, promoting relaxation.

At times, herbal support is valuable. For anxiety, herbs like Ashwagandha or Brahmi can possess calming effects. Ashwagandha can be taken as a churna (powder), around 1 teaspoon mixed with warm milk at night.

Nightly oil massage (Abhyanga) with warm sesame oil brings calm, grounding the overly active Vata. Application of oil onto chest and abdomen with gentle circular strokes can relieve tension and promote relaxation. Keep the oil for about 20 minutes before showering with warm water.

Physical activities like yoga or walking can help too. Focus on gentle routines that foster a sense of peace - exercises like Surya Namaskar or meditation aids in centering the mind, staving off anxiety.

However, if symptoms persist or worsen, consider reaching out to a healthcare provider for further evaluation since sometimes additional tests might reveal underlying causes.

HELLO SHIVU,

You are experiencing left sided chest discomfort and shortness of breath, along with fear and anxiety for theist three months. Your heart investigations are normal, which is reassuring. This suggest that your chest pain is not due to structural heart problem

In Ayurveda, this considiton is often seen as

Vata imbalance= can cause restlessness, anxiety , palpitation, and chest disconfort

Prana vata disturbance= affects breathing and heart rhythm

Psychosomatic influence= mind body connection, stress, fear, or anxiety can amplify perception of chest pain

Symptoms like discomfort, heaviness, or occasional shortness of breath are usually functional, meaning the heart itself is fine, but nervous system and mind body coordination are disturbed

IMPORTANT= sudden worsening of symptoms, chest pain with exertion, sweating, or radiation to jaw/arm needs immediate medical attention, as that could indicate a heart problem

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) BRAHMI VATI= 1 tab twice daily for 8 weeks =enhances memory, calms mind, reduces anxiety

2) ASHWAGANDHA CAPSULES = 500mg twice daily with milk for 8 weeks =reduces stress, strengthen heart, and nervous system

3)ARJUNA BARK CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water twice daily for 8 weeks =strengthen heart muscle, improves circulation

4) JATAMANSI CAPSULES = 250mg at bedtime for 6 weeks =calms mind, improves sleep, reduces fear and restlessness

5) DASHMOOLA KASHAYA= 20 ml + warm water twice daily before meals for w4 weeks =vata pacification, reduces anxiety and systemic inflammation

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -maintain regular sleep -avoid stress triggers= excessive work, phone usage at night -practice relaxation routines daily- gentle walks, listening to calming music -avoid smoking, alcohol excessive caffeine and heavy oily foods

YOGA ASANAS -bhujangasana= opens chest, improve circulation -setu bandhasana= strengthens back ad thorax -supta baddha konasana= relaxes chest and mind

PRANAYAM -anulom vilom= balances nervous system -bhramari= relieves anxiety and fear -deep diaphragmatic breathing= strengthens lung, calms prana vata

DIET -prefer warm, freshly cooed light and nourishing foods -rice, dal, khichdi, cooked vegetables -ghee, warm milk, mild spices- ginger, cinnamon , cardamom

-Avoid cold, raw, fried, heavy, processed or junk foods

-Drink warm water like ginger or chamomile

-Include fruits like banana, papaya or apple ripe and soft

HOME REMEDIES -warm sesame oil massage before sleep -> calms body and mind -warm water with honey and ginger in the morning-> improves digestion -herbal teas= chamomile, tulsi ,or min-> relaxes nervous system -foot bath in warm water with a few drops of eucalyptus oil -> relieves stress

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELFPUL

THANK YOU
