I am trying to figure out if pineapple is good for stomach issues because I've been dealing with some digestion problems lately. Like, for the past month, after I eat, I feel really bloated and uncomfortable. I eat pretty healthy, but then I had this awesome pineapple smoothie a few days ago, and I thought it helped a bit. But then, I’ve also read conflicting stuff online about pineapple causing stomach acidity. One article said pineapple is good for stomach health because it has bromelain, which supposedly helps with digestion, but then I hear from friends that it can upset your stomach if you have acidity issues. Sometimes after eating like, just a slice of pineapple, I feel a little sharp pain, but I don't wanna blame it entirely on the pineapple, you know? I’ve also been stressed lately, which I guess doesn’t help. I really want to include more fruits that are good for stomach, and I've heard about pineapple being good for stomach, but now I'm just confused. Can anyone share their thoughts or experiences? Is pineapple good for stomach or should I avoid it? Would love some real advice before I dive into more pineapple!

Since you’ve mentiond bloating and discomfort, it’s essential first to identify any imbalance in your doshas.

If you have a pitta dosha predominance or you’re dealing with pitta-related issues like heartburn or acidity, the acidity of pineapple could potentially irritate your stomach. Pineapple is heating, so in excess, it may exacerbate pitta. Considering your sharp pain post consumption, it might be a sign to moderate your intake or see how your body specifically reacts to it.
