For addressing H. Pylori infection and the accompanying GI issues, Ayurveda emphasizes harmonizing the digestive system, improving Agni (digestive fire), and addressing dosha imbalances. The presence of peptic ulcers suggests an imbalanced Pitta dosha, causing excessive acidity and inflammation.

1. Herbal Formulations: Considerations like Yashtimadhu (licorice root) can be valuable for soothing ulcers and gastritis, owing to its anti-inflammatory and mucoprotective properties. One shall consume Yashtimadhu powder, mixed with warm water thrice daily half an hour before meals. It’s advised to follow this until symptoms reduce. Another remedy could be Amla (Indian gooseberry), known for its cooling nature and ability to heal gastric mucosa. Take Amla juice daily on an empty stomach in the morning.

2. Dietary Adjustments: Focus on a Pitta-calming diet. Encourage her to avoid spicy, oily, and fermented foods, which can aggravate Pitta. Opt for meals that are cooked, fresh, and easily digestible. Such as rice, oatmeal, or steamed vegetables. Drinking Cumin-coriander-fennel tea throughout the day can help with digestion and inflammation.

3. Lifestyle Practices: Ensure stress-reducing activities like yoga or meditation, as stress can aggravate Pitta. Encourage regular meals at the same time each day and to not overeat. Also advise her not to lie down immediately after eating to prevent reflux.

Regular monitoring of labs, especially kidney function (urea and creatinine levels) along with maintaining hydration, is important. Ensuring a balance of minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium will support overall bodily function. However, since she is already on allopathic medicine, integration of ayurveda should be discussed with her healthcare provider for safety and to avoid any adverse interactions.
