Hello I‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ appreciate you sending over your detailed reports and concerns. I totally get that it might be very discouraging to have lived with a thyroid disorder all these years, and especially, at your young age. But, please don’t worry, as we are here to support you out 😊

YOUR CONDITION – CLEAR UNDERSTANDING

You are: 28-year-old female On Thyronorm 88 mcg for 13 years TSH: 3.99 (near upper-normal, controlled on medication) Thyroid antibodies: 34.6 → Suggests autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s tendency)

👉 So your thyroid problem is not just a hormonal one, but an immune-related one.

IMPORTANT TRUTH (Very Important to Know)

Complete overnight “cure” is not very much of a reality, especially after 13 years However, YES — reversal, dose reduction, and long-term stability ARE POSSIBLE

Some patients are able to: -Reduce medicine dose gradually -Prevent disease progression -Improve energy, weight, hair, cycles & fertility -Keep TSH stable with minimal support

Ayurveda works with the principle of root correction, not that of lifelong suppression.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

According to Ayurveda, this disease is characterized by: Agnimandya (low metabolic fire) Kapha dominance Ama accumulation Rasavaha & Medovaha Srotas dysfunction Autoimmunity = Ojas imbalance

Hence, the treatment should be comprehensive and not just a thyroid focus one.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PLAN

INTERNAL MEDICATION (Long-term Rasayana Approach) (To correct immunity + metabolism)

1.Kanchanar Guggulu 1-0-1 after food – helps thyroid tissue metabolism

2.Punarnava Mandura 1-0-1 after food (if anemia, fatigue)

3 Amalaki Rasayana 1 tsp morning empty stomach – for immune balance

4.Triphala 1 tsp with warm water at bed time – for gut-thyroid axis

Duration: At least 6 months, checked every 8–12 weeks

Do NOT stop Thyronorm abruptly Dose reduction is done only after lab improvement.

DIET – MOST CRITICAL PART

AVOID / STRICTLY LIMIT

- Excess wheat, bakery items - Refined sugar - Cold food & cold drinks - Soy products - Ultra-processed food

INCLUDE DAILY - Warm, freshly cooked meals - Moong dal, vegetables, soups - Ghee (small quantity) - Cooked apple / papaya - Turmeric, ginger, cumin

👉 Gut health directly controls thyroid autoimmunity.

LIFESTYLE & YOGA (Non-negotiable)

Sleep before 11 pm Do not fast or go on crash diets Walk daily for 30 minutes Practice: Anulom Vilom Bhramari Surya Namaskar Setubandhasana / Sarvangasana (if suitable)

INVESTIGATIONS TO TRACK PROGRESS

Repeat every 3 months: TSH, T3, T4 Thyroid antibodies (very important!) Vitamin D Ferritin / Hemoglobin

WHAT RESULTS CAN YOU EXPECT?

- More energy & better metabolism - Hair loss, bloating, and fatigue will be reduced - Antibody levels may decrease with time - Under the supervision of a doctor, medicine dose can be gradually reduced - Thyroid can become stable without worsening

Quite a few patients get to the very low dose or maintenance-only stage.

FINAL HONEST ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION

“Can it be cured completely?” 👉 Functionally YES (well-controlled, minimal or no medicine) 👉 Structurally complete reversal is very unlikely after 13 years 👉 However, the quality of life and disease control CAN be very good

You’re still young — this is the best time to make the right move

Best regards, Dr Snehal ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Vidhate

Thyroid is under control because you are taking regularly once you stop it your TSH levels will rise, so what you can do is start on Kanchanar guggulu 1-0-1 after food with warm water—- so by taking this regularly according to TSH levels you can gradually taper the thyronorm dose and stop it… But do not stop suddenly Meanwhile do anulom vilom brahmari

You can start on some medication along with allopathic medication. Acc to TSH value you can later decrease the dose under supervision of your concerned allopathic doctor.

1. Kanchanara guggulu 2-0-2 after food. 2. Triphala choornam 1/2 tsp with warm water at night.

You have been on medication for 13 years (half your life). Your thyroid gland is now habituated to external hormones. A complete cure (stopping Thyronorm entirely) is difficult and takes time because the gland has been inactive for so long. We can reverse the dependency by reactivating your gland. We start Ayurveda alongside your 88mcg. As your TSH drops, your endocrinologist will naturally lower your dosage. Do not stop Thyronorm 88mcg abruptly, or your TSH will spike dangerous high.

Ayurvedic Prescription Medicines 1 Kanchana Guggulu: 2 tablets twice daily with warm water (empty stomach or before meals).
2 Arogyavardhini Vati: 1 tablet twice daily after food. 3 Hamsapadiyadi Kshayam 2tsp-0-2tsp with 2tsp warm water before food twice daily

Dietary Advice Eat 2 Brazil Nuts (or a handful of Walnuts) daily. Selenium is the fuel for thyroid conversion.

Stop eating Soy products (Soya chunks, Tofu) and Raw Cruciferous vegetables (Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli). Cook them well if you must eat them. They block thyroid function.

Try to minimize wheat (Gluten) as it often triggers autoimmune antibodies.

Lifestyle Advice Yoga: Practice Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand) for 2 minutes daily. This specific pose puts pressure on the throat, increasing blood flow to the thyroid gland. Pranayama: Practice Ujjayi Breath (Ocean Breath) specifically for throat health.

While modern medicine often considers hypothyroidism a long-term condition managed with thyroxine replacement, Ayurveda approaches thyroid imbalances by addressing underlying causes through balancing doshas, particularly focusing on Kapha and Vata, which can influence gland function. Important to understand, achieving a complete cure with Ayurveda might require a comprehensive approach combining diet, lifestyle adjustments, yoga, meditation, and specific herbal remedies.

Start with ahara (diet): Focus on a diet that balances Kapha and appeases Vata. Include warm, cooked meals like kichadi, lightly spiced with cumin, ginger, and turmeric. Avoid raw, cold foods as they increase Kapha. Avoid processed foods, excessive sugars, and dairy as they can disrupt digestion and potentially exacerbate thyroid issues. Moderate the intake of goitrogenic foods like cabbage and soy, consuming them cooked rather than raw.

For vihara (lifestyle), early rising and regular exercise are essential. Yoga asanas beneficial for thyroid include Sarvangasana (shoulder stand), Halasana (plow pose), and Matsyasana (fish pose). Pranayama like Ujjayi can support thyroid by improving metabolism and reducing stress, a known factor in thyroid dysfunction.

Herbs play a critical role. Consider including Dashmoola, Trikatu, and Guggulu, which can enhance metabolism and support thyroid function. Ashwagandha is reputed to support hormonal balance. However, herbal treatment must be personalized; it’s advisable to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored formulation.

Routine abhyanga (oil massage) with gentle warm sesame oil can support circulation and lymphatic drainage, reducing Kapha accumulation. Emphasize daily consistency over a long period for noticeable benefits.

Ayurveda suggests living in harmony with nature and adopting a sattvic lifestyle — calming and balancing the mind, minimizing stress and achieving calmness of mind are key. Remember that managing stress greatly impacts thyroid health, consider incorporating regular meditation or mindfulness practices.

Importantly, consult with both your allopathic physician and an experienced Ayurveda practitioner to find a complementary approach. Ayurveda can work alongside your medication by optimizing bodily balance, but it’s crucial to periodically monitor thyroid levels to adjust medical interventions as necessary. Aiming for a more balanced state, and gradual reduction in medication under medical supervision could become a reality.

HELLO,

Your thyroid is a small gland in the neck that controls your body’s metabolism, meaning -how fast you burn calories -your energy levels -your weight -your mood -your temperature -your hair, skin, digestive strength

When thyroid hormones becomes slightly abnormal, even if not severe, your body starts giving signals such as -fatigue -weight gain or difficulty losing weight -feeling cold -constipation -hairfall -mood swings or anxiety -irregular periods -dry skin

THYROID PROFILE= TSH, Free T4, Free T3

AUTOIMMUNE MARKERS= anti-tpo, anti-Tg

GENERAL TESTS= CBC, ESR/CRP, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Fasting glucose, Lipid profile

These help track progress and adjust treatment safely

DURATION OF TREATMENT Ayurvedic thyroid support is gradual but effective -6 WEEKS= noticeable improvement in energy and digestion -3 MONTHS= hormonal balance begins -6 MONTHS= stable correction of doshas and metabolism -1 YEAR= deeper glandular support and long term balance

Your symptoms (>6 months) mean chronic imbalance, so consistent therapy is ideal

Thyroid imbalance is very manageable with Ayurveda Herbs work best when combined with lifestyle and diet Avoid self medication strong formulations like Knachanar Guggulu in high doses Monitor blood test every 8-12 week Ayurevda aims not only to manage lab numbers but restore balance of Metabolism mind and hormones
