Hello Thanks for sharing your reports. I totally get why you’re worried—a total cholesterol of 300 with high LDL definitely needs to be sorted out, so dont worry we are here to help you out 😊

YOUR CONCERN –Total cholesterol:300 (high) –LDL: 171 (high) –Triglycerides: 154 (kinda high) – HDL: 68.8 (good!)

In Ayurveda, this mostly means you have a problem with your fat metabolism (Medoroga / Medovaha srotas dushti). It’s like you have too much Kapha and Meda (the heavy, oily qualities), a bit of gunk building up (Ama), and your liver might not be handling fats quite right.

The good news is, your HDL is strong, which means lifestyle changes and medicines should work well for you.

✅ABHANA – What It Does?

Abana (from Himalaya) is a good heart helper.

It can: * Help your body deal with fats better * Lessen the bad LDL oxidation * Support your heart muscles and blood flow

👉 For your levels, here’s what to do:

Abana: 2 tablets, twice a day After your meal With warm water At least 3 months. Get your lipid profile checked again after 8 to 12 weeks.

Just so you know, Abana by itself usually isn’t enough when your cholesterol is as high as 300. It works best when used with other things.

3. Seriously, Add This In (It’s Really Important!)

To get your cholesterol down quicker and better, Ayurveda usually pairs Abana with other fat-reducing medicines:

1 Arjunaristha 30ml-0-30ml twice a day after food with warm water 2 Triphala guggulu – 2 tablets twice a day after food 3. Lipomap 1-0-1 after food

👉 These go straight for your LDL and total cholesterol, which Abana might not fix on its own.

DIET MODIFICATION (THE MOST IMPORTANT PART)

❌AVOID * Fried stuff * Baked goods, sweets, sugar * Cheap oils, hydrogenated fats * Lots of rice at night * Cheese, butter, cream

✅INCLUDE * Warm, light meals * Barley, oats, millet * Garlic (2 cloves daily) * Turmeric in your cooking * Green veggies * Warm water all day long

👉 Your diet matters more than medicine when it comes to cholesterol control.

LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION * Walk briskly for 30–45 minutes every day * No napping during the day * Eat dinner early (before 7:30 pm) * De-stress (try pranayama, anulom-vilom breathing)

Keep An Eye Out * Get your lipid profile rechecked in 2–3 months. * If your levels don’t drop enough, you might need stronger Ayurvedic stuff or a detox like Virechana. * If you’re on statins, don’t stop or start anything without talking to your doctor.

✔️ Abana dose: 2 tablets twice a day after meals ✔️ Use it as a helper, not the only thing ✔️ Combine it with diet and other fat-reducing medicines for the best outcome

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Abana (Himalaya) is good supportive medicine – it helps reduce LDL & total cholesterol gradually & protects heart. But Abana alone cannot bring LDL from 171 to <100 – you need stronger combo + strict diet.

Safe Dosage of Abana 2 tablets morning + 2 tablets night after food with warm water Continue minimum 3–6 months (safe long-term, no side effects) Other medicine to add along abana Abana – 2 tab morning + night Arjunarishta – 20 ml + 40 ml warm water after breakfast & dinner Triphala Guggulu) – 2 tab morning + night after food Medohar Vati – 2 tab morning + night after food

Diet – Must Follow Give daily: oats/vegetable poha breakfast, brown rice OR 2 jowar rotis lunch, moong khichdi dinner, 1 pomegranate, beetroot juice 100 ml, 1 tsp flaxseed powder

Avoid completely: ghee/butter/oil >1 tsp total/day, cheese, paneer, maida, bakery, fried food, egg yolk, red meat

Lifestyle 45-min brisk walk daily morning Sleep 10 PM – 6 AM

Abana 2+2 is perfect dose – add Arjunarishta + Guggulu for faster result. Repeat lipid profile after 90 days – you will see big improvement.

HELLO,

Based on your lipid profile -Total cholestrol=300 (high) -LDL= 171 (high) -Triglycerides= 154 (boderline) -HDL= 68.8 (good/protective)

From an Ayurvedic view, this is mainly kapha-meda dushti (fat metabolism imbalance) with mild Ama (metabolic toxins)

1) ABANA DOSAGE -Dose= 2 tabs twice daily -How to take= after meals with lukewarm water -Duration= 3 months continuously , then repeat lipid profile -Abana supports lipid regulation , heart muscle strength, and circulation

If digestion feels heavy, start with 1 tab twice daily for 5-7 days, then increase

SUPPORTIVE AYURVEDIC MEDICINES If cholestrol is long standing (> 1 year) , results improve with combination therapy

-ARJUNA CAPSULES= 500mg twice daily after meals with warm water

-TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp at night with warm water improves metabolism and bowel clearance

DIET -warm, light, home cooked meals -barley , oats, millets, green vegetables -garlic, turmeric, ginger, cumin -fruits like apple, papaya, pomegranate -use mustard oil or small amount of ghee only

Early dinner before 7 :3- pm is ke

AVOID -fried food, bakery items, cheese, butter, cream -white rice, maida, sugar, sweets -red meat, processed foods

LIFESTYLE -brisk walk= 30-40 min daily -Pranayam= kapalbhati= 5-7 min, Anulom vilom= 10 min -Avoid day sleep and late night eating

MONITORING AND SAFELY -Recheck lipid profile after 3 months -Abana is generally safe for long term use -If you develop chest pain breathlessness, or have family history of heart disease-> combine Ayurveda with cardiologist supervision

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

DR. MAITRI ACHARYA
