I had stomach ulcer 2 years back. I took allopathic treatment for 2 months . Doctor said it's healed completely. Now again m feeling uncomfortable inflammation in my stomach . It happened Because I took chillies daily for 3 or 4days ....

YOUR CONCERN

A couple years back, you had a stomach ulcer, but that healed up with treatment. Now, for the past week or two, you’ve been getting that burning feeling and heartburn again. The main trigger? You had chillies several days in a row. Otherwise, your diet’s pretty healthy.

AYURVEDIC PERSPECTIVE

From an Ayurvedic angle, this all points to aggravated Pitta. Basically, too much heat and spice irritated your stomach lining again. Add in your past ulcer, and your stomach’s already a bit sensitive. So you end up with burning, inflammation, and heartburn. The bright side: This is gastritis, not another ulcer—as long as you’re not having severe pain, vomiting, or bleeding.

What do we want to achieve?

Cool down and heal your stomach lining Settle excess acid (calm the Pitta) Keep an ulcer from coming back Get your digestion back on track, gently

TREATMENT PLAN

INTERNAL MEDICATION

1.Yashtimadhu (Licorice) Churna: Half a teaspoon, twice a day, with warm milk or water. This helps heal and soothe your stomach.

2.Shatavari kalpa Half a teaspoon, twice daily after meals. Great for cooling and protecting the lining.

3.Avipattikar Churna: Half a teaspoon at bedtime with lukewarm water. Balances acid without drying you out. Stick with this for 3–4 weeks.

DIET PLAN –this really matters

What to eat: Rice gruel (kanji), soft rice, oats Boiled veggies—think lauki, pumpkin, carrot Milk, buttermilk (just not sour) Coconut water A teaspoon of ghee every day

What to skip for at least 3 weeks: Chillies, pepper, garam masala Fried stuff Tea, coffee Alcohol, smoking Citrus fruits, tomatoes, vinegar

Lifestyle change

Eat meals at regular times Don’t skip food Don’t lie down right after eating Try to keep a 2–3 hour gap between dinner and sleep Practice calm breathing or anything that helps you relax

In about 5–7 days, the burning and heartburn should start to fade. Two to three weeks in, the inflammation should be gone. Give it a month, and your stomach should feel stronger overall.

Your symptoms are triggered by diet and can be reversed. Stick to cooling foods and these simple measures, and you can keep ulcers from coming back for good.
