Milk vs. Curd (The Incompatible Pair) You must keep a gap of at least 3 to 4 hours between Milk and Curd (Yogurt). In Ayurveda, Milk is Sheet (Cooling/Sweet) and Curd is Ushna (Heating/Fermented). Mixing them or eating them too close together creates Viruddha Ahara (Incompatible Diet), which is a major cause of skin diseases and Bloating.

2. Ideal Lunch Time If you eat breakfast at 8:30 AM, your Lunch should be around 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. It takes roughly 4 hours for the previous meal to digest. You should eat only when you feel a clear sensation of hunger, not just by the clock.

Quick Fix for Bloating Since you have had bloating for less than a week, it is likely due to trapped gas or recent food errors. Ajwain (Carom Seeds) Water: Boil 1 teaspoon of Ajwain in a glass of water, strain, and drink it warm after lunch. This instantly relieves bloating. Buttermilk (Takra): Instead of solid Curd, drink Spiced Buttermilk (churned curd + water + pinch of cumin/salt) with lunch. It is much lighter and aids digestion.

HELLO, From an Ayurvedic perspective, bloating usually occurs due to -Mandagni- weak digestive fire -Mild Vata imbalance In the gastrointestinal tract since your symptoms are recent and appetite is average, this appears to be a functional, reversible imbalance, not a chronic disorder GAP BETWEEN MILK AND CUR D -milk and curd should never be taken together or close in time -they have opposite digestion properties and can cause –bloating –gas –ama(toxins) –skin and gut issues over time IDEAL TIME GAP -Minimum gap= 6-8 hours -Best practices –Milk= at night or early moring –Curd= only during daytime late Morinning or lunch BREAKFAST AT 8:30 AM- WHEN SHOULD LUNCH BE? According to ayurveda -Food should be taken one after the previous meal is digested -normal digestion time= 4-5 hours IDEAL LUNCH TIME -12:30 pm- 1:30 pm -This aligns with –peak pitta (digestive fire) –best digestion and nutrient absorption Avoid lunch before 12pm aor after 2 pm if bloating is present CURD INTAKE RULES If you take curd -only daytime always with -roasted cumin pwoder -black pepper -rock salt AVOID AT -night -with fruits -with milk -during bloaitng IF BLOATING IS ACTIVE,AVOID CURD FOR 7 DAYS MILK INTAKE Milk is heavy but nourishing if taken correctly CORRECT WAY -Time= night 9-10 pm or early morning Always -warm boiled You may add -a pinch of dry ginger or turmeric AVOID -coldmilk -milk after heavy meals -milkwith salty or sour foods DIET FOR BLOAITNG 7-10 DAYS -warm, freshly cooked meals -rice, moong dal -vegetable soups -jeera water -hing in cooking -steamed vegetables AVOID -cold drinks -raw salads -fried food -bakery items -excess tea/coffee -late night eating SIMPLE REMEDIES 1) JEERA WATER -boil. 1 tsp cumi seeds in 1 glass water -sip warm after meals 2) HING REMEDY -take a pinch of hing with warm water after lunch if bloaitng occurs 3) AJWAIN -1/2 tsp ajwain +pinch of rock salt -chew after meals LIFESTYLE AND EATING HABITS -eat in calm state -do not overeat fill stomach -1/2 food, 1/4 water. 1/4 empty -walk 5-10 mim after meals -avoid sleeping during the day THANK YOU DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL DR. You’ve had bloating for less than 1 week with an average appetite. This is usually mild and often improves with simple diet timing and habits. Milk & curd gap: 👉 Keep a minimum gap of 3–4 hours between milk and curd. Avoid taking them together or in the same meal if you have bloating. Breakfast & lunch timing: If breakfast is at 8:30 AM, have lunch around 12:30–1:00 PM (after 4–4.5 hours).

Hello I get why you’re worried about your digestion and when to eat. Messing up food combos or eating at weird times can really throw your digestion off, leading to bloating and discomfort. The upside is, it’s usually pretty easy to fix with better timing and a few easy rules. 😊

✅ YOUR CONCERN

Based on what you told me:

Age: 35 Symptoms: Bloating Appetite: Okay How Long: Just started This means:

Your digestion is a bit weak. Some undigested food is making gas. You’re not eating at the right times. It sounds like it’s not too serious, so changing your lifestyle should do the trick.

MILK AND CURD – DON’T MIX!

Ayurveda says:

Never have milk and curd together. Wait at least 6 hours between them.

Ideally: Drink milk at night. Eat curd during the day (before 4 pm). Never eat curd at night – it can make you produce Kapha, which causes bloating and sinus stuff.

WHEN TO EAT If you eat breakfast at 8:30 am:

Lunch: 👉 Between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm (best time for digestion)

Dinner: 👉 Between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm (keep it light)

Try to: Wait 4 hours between main meals. Don’t snack unless you’re super hungry.

EASY AYURVEDA FIXES FOR BLOATING

Morning:

Warm water with 5–6 drops of lemon OR ½ tsp Trikatu churna with honey

After Lunch: ½ tsp Hingvastak churna with warm water

At Night: ½ tsp Triphala churna with warm water (These 3 things fix most digestion problems)

EAT RIGHT (SUPER IMPORTANT)

Do:

Eat only when you’re hungry Eat warm, freshly cooked food Chew your food well Relax while you eat

Don’t:

Drink cold items Eat curd at night Mix fruit with milk Overeat Watch your phone or TV while eating

THE BIG AYURVEDA RULE

Don’t eat until you’ve digested your last meal.

Signs you’ve digested your last meal: Your stomach feels light You’re actually hungry You burp without tasting food

You don’t need strong medicines.

All you need is: ✔ Good timing ✔ Right food combos ✔ A little help from herbs That’s how you build a strong digestive system with Ayurveda.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

At your age bloating and mild digestive disturbance usually happens because of weak digestive fire irregular food timing wrong food combinations or excess vata and kapha so correcting meal timing itself gives good relief,In Ayurveda milk and curd should never be taken close to each other because their digestion pattern is opposite there should be minimum six to eight hours gap between milk and curd for example if curd is taken in the daytime then milk should be taken only at night and if milk is taken at night then curd should be avoided next day morning Curd is best taken only during daytime preferably with lunch and should be avoided at night

If your breakfast time is 8.30 in the morning then lunch should be between 12.30 1.3 in the afternoon so that the previous meal is properly digested and agni remains balanced … Avoid frequent snacking in between meals eat warm freshly prepared food chew well and avoid cold drinks

🥛 Milk and Curd Timing Do not take milk and curd together — Ayurveda considers this an incompatible food combination (Viruddha Ahara).

Gap between milk and curd: At least 3–4 hours. - Example: If you take curd at breakfast, wait until lunch or later for milk. - If you drink milk at night, avoid curd in the evening.

🍽️ Meal Timing Breakfast at 8:30 am → ideal lunch time is around 12:30–1:00 pm. - This gives about 4 hours gap, which is optimal for digestion. - Eating too soon can cause bloating, while eating too late can cause acidity.

🌿 Ayurvedic Tips for Bloating: - Warm water sip throughout the day → helps reduce gas. - Jeera + Ajwain + Saunf decoction (boil ½ tsp each in water, drink warm) → relieves bloating. - Avoid heavy carbs (white bread, excess rice, fried foods) until digestion settles. - Include buttermilk with roasted cumin and rock salt at lunch → improves digestion and reduces bloating.

🧘 Lifestyle - Gentle walk for 15–20 minutes after meals. - Avoid lying down immediately after eating. - Practice Vajrasana for 5–10 minutes post‑meal to aid digestion.

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR DETAILS AND TRUSTING WITH YOUR HEALTH CONCERN AT THE AGE OF 35 MILD DIGESTIVE ISSUES LIKE BLOATING ARE VERY COMMON AND USUALLY RELATED TO FOOD TIMING AND FOOD COMBINATIONS RATHER THAN ANY SERIOUS PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO MILK AND CURD BOTH ARE HEAVY FOR DIGESTION AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN CLOSE TOGETHER THERE SHOULD BE A CLEAR GAP OF AT LEAST SIX TO EIGHT HOURS BETWEEN MILK AND CURD MILK IS BEST TAKEN ALONE AND PREFERABLY WARM AND IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER MEALS CURD SHOULD BE TAKEN ONLY DURING DAYTIME IDEALLY WITH LUNCH AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT NIGHT ALSO AVOID TAKING MILK OR CURD WITH FRUITS SOUR ITEMS OR SALTY FOODS AS THESE COMBINATIONS OFTEN LEAD TO BLOATING AND DISCOMFORT

IF BREAKFAST TIME IS 830 AM THEN LUNCH SHOULD IDEALLY BE BETWEEN 1230 PM AND 1 PM THIS FOUR HOUR GAP ALLOWS THE BODY TO COMPLETE DIGESTION OF BREAKFAST BEFORE EATING AGAIN TRY TO MAINTAIN A SIMILAR GAP BETWEEN ALL MAJOR MEALS AND AVOID UNNECESSARY SNACKING IN BETWEEN UNLESS THERE IS REAL HUNGER SINCE APPETITE IS AVERAGE AND THE PROBLEM HAS STARTED ONLY RECENTLY THIS APPEARS TO BE A TEMPORARY DIGESTIVE IMBALANCE EATING FRESHLY COOKED WARM FOOD CHEWING PROPERLY AVOIDING COLD DRINKS BAKERY ITEMS AND LATE NIGHT MEALS WILL HELP BLOATING SETTLE NATURALLY IN A SHORT TIME FOLLOWING THESE SIMPLE CHANGES CONSISTENTLY SHOULD BRING RELIEF AND IMPROVE DIGESTION VERY SOON
