How to create a diet plan for Proctitis and prediabetes? - #53250
I am suffering from Proctitis from the last one year. Could you please suggest me the diet. I am also prediabetic . My glucose is normal but my HBA1C is slightly raised. Thank you.

●The Importance of Diet in Diabetes According to Ayurveda, if the diet is not correct, even the best medicine cannot show its full effect. In diabetes, The purpose of diet is to: • Prevent the increase of phlegm • Reduce fat • Stabilize the digestive fireWhat to eat (grains and pulses) Dietary grains: • Wheat in limited quantities. Dietary pulses: • Mung bean, gram, pigeon pea • Barley, kodo, and savanna • Old rice (Shashtik Shali) • Horse gram (Kulathi). These grains are considered light, rough, and anti-phlegm and fat. Avoid new grains.What to Eat (Vegetables) Bitter and astringent vegetables: • Bitter gourd • Fenugreek, pointed gourd, drumstick • Radish, cucumber • Bottle gourd, ridge gourd, spinach • Leafy vegetables: These vegetables gently balance the phlegm and fat in the body.What to drink (drinks) Dietary drinks: • Buttermilk • Lukewarm water • Triphala water Kushodak/Sarodak (as advised by a doctor) Sweet drinks, packaged juices • Cold water Avoid sugary drinks. ●What should be limited/avoided?
