Yes, you can take Livamrut Advance + Arogyavardhini Vati + Chitrakadi Vati for gas but with caution because you are already taking allopathic medicines. Ecosprin 150 → risk of gastric irritation Duzela 20 → sensitive stomach possible Pregabid CR 82.5 → usually safe with Ayurveda Safe approach Arogyavardhini Vati 1 tab after food, 2 times daily Chitrakadi Vati 1 tab before food, 2 times daily (for gas) Take after meals (avoid empty stomach due to acidity risk) Start one medicine at a time (not all together first day) If burning / acidity / black stools → stop and consult Better simple option (safer at age 65) Ajwain + Jeera warm water Hing + ghee with food
Hello, At age 65, managing a combination of Ayurvedic supplements and potent allopathic medications requires caution, particularly because of potential interactions with your blood thinner and nerve medications. From an Ayurvedic viewpoint, your symptoms likely stem from Agnimandya (weak digestive fire) and Vata Vyadhi (imbalance of the air/ether element). While the supplements you mentioned (Livamrut, Arogya Vardhinivati, and Chitrakadivati) are excellent for liver health and digestion, they contain strong herbs and minerals (like purified mercury/sulfur in Arogya Vardhinivati) that may interact with your existing prescriptions. Ecosprin 150 (Aspirin): Several herbs in these Ayurvedic formulas can have mild blood-thinning properties or affect liver metabolism, potentially increasing the risk of bruising or bleeding when taken with Ecosprin. Duzela & Pregabid: These affect the central nervous system. Introducing complex Ayurvedic formulations without staggered timing can sometimes lead to unexpected metabolic interference or stomach irritation. For a gentler approach that supports digestion without overly complex mineral formulations Medicine: Dhanwantharam Gulika This is a standard, safe choice for “Vata-type” gas, bloating, and breathlessness in seniors. Dosage: 1 tablet crushed and mixed with warm water or cumin water, twice daily after food. Medicine: Gandharvahastadi Kwath (Tablets) A renowned formula for clearing the gut and relieving flatulence. Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily, about 30 minutes before food, with warm water. Important Guidelines The 2-Hour Rule: Always maintain a minimum gap of 2 hours between your Allopathic medications and Ayurvedic supplements to prevent interaction. Consult Your Doctor: Since you are on Ecosprin and Duzela, please consult your prescribing physician before starting these supplements. They need to monitor your liver function and blood clotting profile. Monitor: If you notice any unusual bruising, skin rashes, or increased acidity, stop the Ayurvedic medicine immediately.
