I have stomach inflamation and acidity problems thats why i eat every combination carefully kindly tell me that Pumpkin seeds with yougurt is beneficial or not?

Pumpkin seeds and Yogurt together are generally not ideal for acidity (Amla Pitta) because yogurt is guru and amla (heavy and sour) and seeds are snigdha (oily), which may increase Pitta and Ama in sensitive digestion. Better advice: Take them separately and in small quantity, and prefer fresh, light, cooling foods until symptoms settle. –Rx (Amlapitta) Avipattikar Churna – 3 g with lukewarm water, BD after food Sootshekhar Rasa – 1 tablet, BD after food Aimil Amlapitta/Antacid syrup (if used) – 10–15 ml, BD after meals (as per label) —Advice: Avoid Yogurt, spicy and sour foods; take light diet.

Here is the breakdown ​ ​In Ayurveda, stomach inflammation is usually a Pitta aggravation ​Yogurt (Dahi): While many think it is cooling, Ayurveda considers yogurt to be Ushna (heating) in potency and Abhishyandi (clogging to the channels). If it is sour, it will significantly increase acidity and heat in the stomach. ​Pumpkin Seeds: These are heavy to digest (Guru) and have a high oil content. While nutritious, they require a strong digestive fire (Agni). ​ If your acidity is active, avoid this combination. If you must have it, ensure the yogurt is fresh (not sour) and the pumpkin seeds are raw or lightly toasted (not salted/fried). Adding a pinch of roasted cumin powder can help neutralize the heating effect of the yogurt. ​ ​For soothing the stomach lining and reducing acid secretion, the following traditional Kerala Ayurveda protocol is highly effective ​1. Alsactil Tablet This is a proprietary formulation specifically for hyperacidity and gastric ulcers. It helps heal the mucosal lining. ​Dose: 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times a day, roughly 30 minutes before food. ​2. Dadimadi Ghritam A medicated ghee that is excellent for neutralizing excess Pitta and treating internal inflammation. ​Dose: 1 teaspoon mixed with a little warm water, taken on an empty stomach early in the morning. ​3. Avipathi Choornam A classic purgative used to “drain” excess heat (Pitta) from the system. ​Dose: 1 teaspoon with warm water at bedtime (use only 2–3 times a week or as needed for constipation/severe acidity).

Both Pumpkin seeds and yogurt are nutritious but yoghurt is generally considered abhishyandi which obstructs the channels and are also sour 👇👇👇 In place of yogurt you can use buttermilk with A Pinch of jeera and Ginger powder 👇👇 Pumpkin seeds are heavy to digest and if your digestive fire is weak they can cause gas I strongly suggest you to avoid Pumpkin seeds in thick yogurt instead of you can roast the Pumpkin seeds slightly and at them into buttermilk We also have two pacify the aggravated Pitta dosa and strength your digestive fire without causing any further inflammation 1) avipathi churna- 1 teaspoon at bed time with warm water 2) sukumaram kwath- 15 ml with 45 ml lukewarm water 30 minute before breakfast and dinner 3) kamaduga rasa- 1 tablet twice daily after meals 4) dadimadi ghritam- 1 teaspoon on empty stomach in morning 👇👇👇👇👍👍👍👍 Foods to Avoid Spicy, Salty, and Sour (Vinegar, pickles, citrus). Fermented Foods: Idli, Dosa, and bread can increase acidity. Caffeine: Tea and coffee on an empty stomach. Late Night Meals: Ensure dinner is finished at least 3 hours before sleep. Practice Sheetali Pranayama Sip lukewarm water or water infused with fennel seeds throughout the day.

Yogurt is heavy and slightly acidic, and when combined with seeds (which are also heavy), it can increase indigestion, bloating, or acidity, especially if digestion is already sensitive. You can take them, but with caution: Prefer fresh yogurt (not sour) Take in small quantity Better to consume in daytime, not at night If you notice heaviness or burning, avoid combining them and take separately. For your condition, keep food light, warm, and easy to digest. Avoid very spicy, fried, and sour foods. At home, jeera water or coriander water can help reduce acidity.
