Your condition is Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia, where vessels are fragile and bleeding tendency is high. In Ayurveda, it resembles Raktapitta with rakta dhatu dushti. Cure is not possible, but bleeding frequency and recovery can be improved. Ayurvedic Treatment Internal Medicines (focus: stop bleeding + strengthen vessels) Praval Pishti – 250 mg twice daily with honey Mukta Pishti – 125 mg twice daily with rose water or honey Nagkesar Churna – 1 g twice daily with honey (very effective for bleeding) Amalaki Rasayana – 1 tsp twice daily For Blood Loss Recovery (safe mild support) Draksha Avaleha – 1 tsp twice daily Punarnava Mandur – 1 tablet once daily after food (low dose, safer than high iron) Home Remedies Fresh pomegranate juice or sugarcane juice regularly Cold milk with 1 tsp ghee once daily Coriander seed water (soak overnight, drink in morning) During Active Nose Bleed Apply cold compress on nose/forehead Put 2–3 drops of cow ghee or rose water in nostrils after bleeding reduces Sit upright, do not lie down Diet & Restrictions Avoid spicy, sour, hot foods, alcohol, excessive sun exposure Avoid anger, stress, and heat-producing activities Prefer cooling diet: amla, coconut water, milk, ghee
Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) with frequent heavy nosebleeds suggests a strong Pitta-Rakta imbalance in Ayurveda, where delicate blood vessels become fragile and prone to bleeding. Since blood loss is significant and recurrent, supportive care and prevention are very important. Ayurvedic Supportive Measures Avoid heat-aggravating foods: very spicy, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, fermented and fried foods. Keep the body cool and hydrated. Use cow ghee or a few drops of Anu taila/ghee gently inside the nostrils to reduce dryness and irritation. Avoid forceful nose blowing, late nights, and excessive sun exposure. Traditionally Helpful Ayurvedic Herbs Amalaki (Amla) Yashtimadhu (Licorice) Pravala Pishti Mulethi Shatavari These are traditionally used to support cooling, vessel stability, and recovery after blood loss. During a Nosebleed Sit upright and lean slightly forward. Apply a cold cloth/ice pack over the nose and forehead. Pinch the soft part of the nose continuously for 10–15 minutes.
