How to know if my IBS treatment is effective and is my upper back pain a serious issue? - #54844
I'm getting treatment for IBS from last 3 months virechana also done 3 months back and having upper back pain since beginning and now from 15 days stool is not in right form. So now doctor suggested for blood test on vitaminb12 and vitamin d, and also USG scanof abdomen. Currently am on below medicines. Bilagyl 1 teaspoon evening Cholenorm tablet 0-0-2 night after food Pittarechaka kashaya 10ml-0-10ml before food Question: Am I in the right track ? Is my condition goingto be serious ?

Yes, you are on the right treatment path. Vitamin B12, Vitamin D tests and USG abdomen are useful in IBS with back pain and irregular stools. It does not look serious if there is no bleeding, fever or weight loss. Ayurvedic treatment Kutajghan Vati 2 tablets twice daily after food. Takrarishta 15 ml with equal water after meals. Avipattikar Churna 1 teaspoon at night with warm water if stool is not proper. Avoid spicy, oily, cold and junk foods. Use light diet and buttermilk regularly.
