It sounds like what you’re dealing with may be a case of vata imbalance, particularly affecting your digestive system, which tends to result in symptoms like bloating constipation, and the presence of mucus in the stool. From an Ayurvedic perspective, this indicates impaired agni, or digestive fire. Let’s look at some practical suggestions aligned with Ayurvedic principles.

Firstly, focus on your diet. Considering your vata constitution, it is advisable to consume warm, cooked, and easy-to-digest meals. Opt for foods like warm soups, stews, and porridges. Avoid raw, cold, and dry foods as they can aggravate vata further. Incorporate spices like cumin, ginger, and asafoetida in your cooking to stimulate digestion.

Since you’ve mentioned mucus in stool, it’s crucial to enhance your digestive fire. Have a piece of ginger with a pinch of rock salt 15 minutes before meals to kindle agni. Sip warm water through the day, it’s simple but can be quite effective reducing vata imbalances.

For constipation, Triphala is an excellent choice. Take about 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water at night before sleep. It helps regulate bowel movements without causing dependency.

Limit or avoid processed foods, dairy and refined sugars as these can contribute to mucus formation. Instead, consume freshly prepared meals that are light on digestive system.

It might be helpful to establish a routine with your meals. Eat at the same times each day and give yourself time to eat mindfully, sitting down and chewing thoroughly.

Exercise is essential yet should be gentle. Consider doing yoga or a daily walk to promote digestion without stressing out your body. Pranayama breathing exercises can also be grounding and balancing too.

Be sure to monitor your symptoms closely, if they persist or worsen, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare provider for further evaluation, especially considering you’ve had recurring infections in the past year.
