The dark spots on your face that have been spreading for 3 years are most likely a condition called melasma, which is often linked to hormonal changes, sun exposure, stress, or certain food habits. In Ayurveda, this is known as Vyanga, and it happens due to an imbalance of Pitta (heat) and Vata (dryness and sensitivity) in the skin. Your skin is sensitive, which is why modern creams may not have helped much and could have even worsened the condition over time.

In Ayurvedic understanding, before we treat pigmentation, we first correct digestion and clear toxins (called āma) from the system. Once the body is balanced internally, the skin naturally starts to regain its tone and clarity.

Treatment Plan:

Step 1: Āma Pachana (for 5 days)

Avipattikar Churna – 1 teaspoon with warm water before breakfast and dinner Manjisthadi Kashayam – 15 ml with 45 ml warm water twice a day before food Step 2: Internal Treatment (from Day 6 onwards) 3. Khadirarishta – 20 ml with equal warm water after lunch and dinner 4. Rakta Chandan Churna – ½ teaspoon with honey, morning and night 5. Sarivadi Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after food

External Application: 6. Kumkumadi Taila – Apply 3–4 drops at night on the affected area, massage gently, leave overnight 7. Face pack: Mix Lodhra + Yashtimadhu + Rakta Chandan powders with rose water and apply 3 times a week

Malasma will take time to show complete result You have to take Sariva tablet 1-0-1 after food with water Apply kumkumadi oil on face at night, keep overnight Make a paste of turmeric powder+multani mitti+ besan mix with curd and apply on face twice weekly keep for 10 minutes and wash. Hyperpigmentation refers to dark patches or spots on the skin. It can be due to -hormonal changes(during pregnancy, or due to contraceptives etc) -sun exposure -use of strong skin products -stress -liver dysfunction -poor digestion(ama) -heat accumulation in blood

आयुर्वेद के अनुसार - “व्यंग्य” एक ऐसी स्थिति है जिसमें चेहरे पर बिना दर्द के काले धब्बे दिखाई देते हैं - यह पित्त और वात दोष के बिगड़ने के कारण होता है, मुख्यतः - रक्त धातु (रक्त) और मांस धातु (त्वचा/मांसपेशी ऊतक) में गड़बड़ी। -तनाव, धूप में रहना, तैलीय/मसालेदार भोजन और हार्मोनल असंतुलन इसे और बिगाड़ देते हैं

Simple Remedies

1. Prepare paste from turmeric and milk of Calotropis procera, apply on the affected area.

2. Apply the paste prepared from turmeric & sandal wood with rose water.

3. Apply the paste of Terminalia Arjuna.

And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.
