Take this for
HELLO SMITA,
You have -long standing constipation - difficulty or incomplete evacuation of stool -fatigue and weakness low energy, dullness -ulcer/acidity problems- burning sensation, sour belching, discomfort in stomach These are interlinked and indicate vata-pitta imbalance with agni mandya (weak digestive fire)
1) WEAK DIGESTION FIRE -when your digestive fire becomes weak, food isn’t digested properly This leads to formation of Ama (toxins or undigested residues)- sticky material that clogs the intestines
2) VATA DOSHA AGGRAVATION -when Ama accumulates and intestines dry up due to irregular food, stress, or dehydration, vata increases. This causes dryness, irregular bowel movements, gas and hard stool-> constipation
3) PITTA DOSHA AGGRAVATION At the same time, poor digestion and stress aggravate pitta, causing excess acid production This leads to ulcer, burning, sour taste, acidity, and irritation in the stomach
4) SECONDARY EFFECTS Because of chronic indigestion and toxin accumulation -nutrition is not properly absorbed-> fatigue and weakness -Mind becomes restless and dull-> stress, anxiety, disturbed sleep
TREATMENT GOALS -remove toxins -regulate bowel -heal ulcers and acidity -improve strength -prevent recurrence

Constipation, fatigue, and ulcers indicate a possible imbalance in your doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. Let’s address the constipation first, as regular elimination is crucial for overall health. In Ayurveda, constipation is often linked to the dryness and irregularity of Vata dosha. To alleviate this, incorporate warm, oily, and easy-to-digest foods like stewed apples, oatmeal, and clarified butter or ghee in moderation. Avoid dry, rough, or cold foods as they may aggravate Vata. Drinking a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of ghee in the morning helps lubricate the intestines and promotes easy passage.
Consider taking Triphala, a well-known Ayurvedic formulation, before bedtime. Mix half a teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water—this encourages regular bowel movements and is safe for long-term use. For fatigue and weakness, ensure your meals are nourishing and balance Vata and Pitta. Favor whole grains, well-cooked vegetables, and healthy fats like sesame or coconut oil. Avoiding stimulants, such as caffeine, which may exacerbate fatigue in the long run.
Regarding ulcers, which are often linked to excess Pitta, consume cooling and soothing foods. Aloe vera juice, taken one teaspoon daily, has a calming effect on the digestive tract. Herbal infusions with licorice root may also provide relief, but be cautious if you have high blood pressure. Practice stress-reducing techniques like yoga or meditation to calm the mind and balance Pitta.
Ensure adequate hydration; sip on warm water throughout the day. Sleep is critical to support healing, aim for 7 to 8 hours uninterrupted. If symptoms persist, consider consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for a more tailored approach. Remember, these suggestions are supplementary and should be used alongside any existing medical treatments you may be undergoing.
Constipation along with fatigue, weakness, and ulcer issues suggest an imbalance predominantly involving vata dosha, with possible involvement of pitta in the case of ulcers. Let’s address these through Siddha-Ayurvedic insights.
First, addressing constipation: Begin by including triphala churna in your daily routine. Take one teaspoon with warm water at bedtime. Triphala helps balance vata and promotes regular bowel movements. Additionally, ensure you hydrate well; drink warm water, and avoid cold beverages. Incorporate a tablespoon of ghee in your meals — it acts as a nice lubricant for the intestines. Avoid dry, processed, and cold foods as much as possible, as they can aggravate vata.
For fatigue and weakness, strengthen your agni (digestive fire) by drinking herbal teas containing ginger or cumin after meals. Add nourishing foods such as almond milk, dates, and whole grains like oats to build ojas, which supports overall vitality.
Regarding ulcer issues, avoid spicy and acidic foods to prevent pitta vitiation. Consume soothing herbs like licorice (yashtimadhu) powder; take a quarter teaspoon with honey once daily. Aloe vera juice can also be calming for the stomach lining.
If these symptoms persist or worsen, seek immediate medical attention to rule out any underlying conditions that might require more intensive treatment. Prioritize your safety and well-being in this regard.
