Seeking Advice on Zeolite and Health Issues - #38486

Client_8afcda

Hello Doctor, I have a high-level of allergies, rheumatism, bones getting softer, and few other health issues too. I came across a video of a guru on YouTube, he was advising on taking 3 drops Zeolite for 7 days and then taking Colloidal Silver and Lugol's Iodine for 7 days after. To kill parasites which causes alot of health issues. Please advise me if this advice is suitable to follow or not. I have also read on Google that Zeolite can cause lung cancer and I'm very about this. Please advise 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hello Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern. I can understand your worry — especially when dealing with long-term allergies, joint issues (rheumatism), and bone weakness. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊

⚠️ Regarding Zeolite, Colloidal Silver, and Lugol’s Iodine

While these are being promoted in some online spaces, they are not part of classical Ayurvedic formulations and lack solid clinical evidence for safety in long-term human use.

👉Zeolite:

Zeolite is a mineral compound often claimed to detox heavy metals, but medical studies do not confirm this.

There is no verified data proving its ability to kill parasites or cure chronic conditions. Hence, it’s not recommended for oral use without strict medical supervision.

👉Colloidal Silver: Repeated use can lead to argyria — permanent bluish-gray discoloration of the skin. It can also affect kidney and liver function with chronic use.

👉Lugol’s Iodine:

Iodine supports thyroid health but excess iodine can actually disturb thyroid function, especially in people with autoimmune tendencies.

Please avoid self-medicating with these substances. They are not classical Ayurvedic detox methods and may cause more harm than benefit, particularly when the immune system and metabolism are already sensitive.

✅AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

1. Simhanada Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after food with warm water. ( Detoxifies Ama and relieves joint pain and stiffness.)

2. Rasnadi Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after meals with lukewarm water. ( Excellent for rheumatic pain, inflammation, and Vata-Kapha balance.)

3. Ashwagandha Capsule – 1 capsule twice daily with milk. (Strengthens bones and muscles, reduces fatigue and anxiety)

4. Gandharvahastadi Kashayam – 15 ml with equal water twice daily before meals. ( Improves digestion, clears Ama, and relieves constipation.)

✅ Panchakarma & External Therapies

When feasible, undergo these under expert guidance:

1. Valuka sweda followed by Dashmoola parishekha

2Abhyanga (Oil Massage) with Mahanarayan Taila or Dhanvantaram Taila daily – strengthens muscles and joints.

3 Swedana (Steam therapy) – helps relieve stiffness and remove Ama.

4 Virechana (Therapeutic purgation) – once digestion improves, to eliminate toxins.

5. Basti (Medicated enema) – nourishes nerves and bones.

✅DIET AND LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

✅Include:

Warm, freshly cooked food with ghee and mild spices like cumin, ginger, turmeric. Herbal teas with tulsi, dry ginger, or cinnamon. Almonds, dates, sesame seeds, and milk for bone strength. Regular exposure to morning sunlight for Vitamin D.

❌Avoid:

Cold, heavy, stale, or fermented food. Excess pulses like chana, rajma which increase Ama. Daytime sleeping and night awakening. Smoking, alcohol, and excessive tea.

Please do not start Zeolite, Colloidal Silver, or Lugol’s Iodine without medical advice — they are not proven safe for your condition.

Ayurveda provides natural detoxification through safe and time-tested herbal formulations, diet correction, and Panchakarma, which strengthen the body from within without side effects.

Warm regards, Dr Snehal Vidhate

HELLO,

You’ve mentioed -Allergies (sneezing, itching, rashes or food/environment sensitivity) -Rheumatism (joint pain, stiffness, inflammation) -softening of bones (like early osteoporosis or calcium vitamin D deficiency)

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR BODY Your immune system is overactive, attacking harmless substances (allergy) and possibly even your own joints (autoimmune rheumatism) Meanwhile, bone loss or weakness can occur due to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, or chronic inflammation

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR BODY In Ayurveda, this pattern is described as -Vata-kapha imbalance-. causes joint pain, stiffness, dryness, cracking, fatigue -Ama (metabolic toxin) accumulation due to weak digestio-> blocks channels, leading to rheumatism and allergies -Asthi dhatu kshaya (weakening of bone tissue)-> causes bone softening and fragility

So, the root is Ama (toxins) + vata imbalance, leading to allergic-rheumatic conditions

TREATMENT GOALS -remove ama (detoxify the system) -balance vata and kapha doshas -nourish and strengthen asthi (bone) and mamsa (muscle) dhatu -rebuild digestion and immunity -relieve pain, swelling, and stiffness in joints -prevent recurrence through diet and lifestyle

INTERNAL TREATMENT

1) MAHAYOGARAJ GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals with warm water for 2 months =relieves joint pain, remoces ama, balances vata

2) GUDUCHI GHAN VATI= 2 tabs twice daily after meals for 3 months =reduces immunity, detoxifies blood, boosts immunity

3) LAKSHADI GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily with milk for 3 moths =strengthens bones and joint

4) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm milk twice daily for 3 months = nourishes nerves, reduces stress , strengthens bones

5) DASHMOOLA KASHAYA= 20 ml + equal water twice daily before meals for 45 days =reduces vata, stiffness, and pain

6) PRAVAL PISHTI= 250mg twice daily with ghee for 3 months =rebuilds bone density

EXTERNAL TREATMENT

1) OIL MASSAGE= MAHANARAYAN TAILA -warm oil, massage joints, back ad limbs for 20 min before bath for 5 days/week =reduces stiffness, nourishes muscles and bones, improves circulation

2) STEAM THERAPY -after massage use mild steam or hot towel compress =helps remove ama and relieves stiffess

3) HERBAL PASTE -paste of eranda moola + dashmoola or nirgundi leaves can be applied to painful joints =reduces local inflammation and pain

DIET -warm, fresh, cooked meals -moong dal khichdi with ghee -steamed vegetables- bottle gourd, pumpkin, ridge gourd, drumstick -cow ghee 2 tsp/day for lubrication -milk boiled with turmeric andashwagandha -herbal teas -cumin+ coriander+fennel twice daily -warm water throughout the day to digest ama

AVOID -cold,raw,refrigerated food -processed or packaged food, fermented food, carbonated drinks -excess pulses like chana, rajma or urad -night shades- potato, tomato, brinjal if joints worsens -excess sour, salty, or spicy items -dairy at night

HOME REMEDIES -turmeric + black pepper + ghee= anti inflamatory -fenugreek seeds soaked overnight, eat In morning- reduces joint pain -aloe vera juice 15 ml morning empty stomach - supports immunity and digestion

YOGA ASANAS -tadasana -trikonasana -bhujangasana -vrikshasana -pawamuktasana avoid heavy or jerky exercises. warm up properly

PRANAYAM -anulom vilom= 10-15 min daily -bhramari= 5 min daily to calm nervous system -deep diaphragmatic breathing= improves oxygenation and immune function

Please avoid Zeolite, colloidal silver and Lugol’s iodine- they are not scientifically or Ayurvedically justified for parasite or toxin removal and can harm the body

Thank you so much for taking the time out to reply to me 🙏🙏🙏

Zeolite is a natural mineral that some believe can detoxify the body by trapping toxins. However, the claims around it aren’t backed by enough scientific evidance, especially in the realm of Ayurveda. While some alternative practitioners speak of its benefits, there is limited understanding of its long-term effects, especially relating to complex conditions like rheumatism and allergies. When it comes to lung cancer concerns, the inhalation of zeolite dust is potentially harmful, but regular consumption, as suggested in some circles, isn’t firmly linked to such risks. Yet, the lack of detailed studies makes it wise to exercise extreme caution and consult a healthcare professional before proceeding.

In Ayurveda, addressing your health concerns requires a holistic approach targeting the root since Ayurveda considers every imbalance related to doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). Rheumatism, often linked to excess Vata, can be managed through diet, lifestyle, and herbs. Warm, moist foods, avoiding cold and dry items, regular massage with warm sesame oil, and gentle yoga can be beneficial.

Allergies are often linked to aggravated Pitta or Kapha and addressing these with the right food choices and lifestyle changes is crucial. Incorporating turmeric in your diet for its anti-inflammatory properties, ashwagandha for stress, and triphala to balance digestion can aid in overall health improvement.

Colloidal silver and Lugol’s iodine, used wrong can create more problems than solutions. Excessive iodine may disturb thyroid balance, a key point in Ayurveda.

The regiment of zeolite, colloidal silver, and iodine lacks evidence for safety and efficacy - when looking to kill parasites, Ayurveda focuses on herbs like vidanga, and dietary habits that naturally balance doshas and strengthen agni, the digestive fire.

For detailed, and safe guidance, pursuing a certified Ayurvedic practitioner to assess your prasasana is crucial to guide you safely through this process and ensure no harm comes from well-intentioned but potentially hazardous advice.

When considering using Zeolite and other substances like Colloidal Silver or Lugol’s Iodine for health issues, it’s important to approach with caution, especially given your complex symptoms like allergies, rheumatism, and bone concerns. Zeolites are naturally occurring minerals that can have detoxifying properties, but their safety and efficacy aren’t well-studied for internal use in scientific literature. Concerns like potential lung cancer risks from inhalation primarily apply to industrial applications rather than dietary supplements, yet risks can exist.

The underlying causes of your symptoms might be related to dosha imbalances, particularly vata (related to bones, joints, and nervous system) and potentially kapha or pitta imbalances causing allergies or inflammation. Instead of focusing on substances not rooted in traditional Ayurvedic practices, addressing these imbalances is important. Incorporating lifestyle changes like warm, nourishing diets, regular sleep, and moderate exercise can help balance vata dosha. Remedies like Dashmool-based decoctions or Abhyanga (oil massage) with specific oils like sesame might be beneficial.

While Colloidal Silver and Lugol’s Iodine have been suggested for parasitic issues, they lack robust support from both modern science and traditional Ayurveda; side effects may be concerning, as Colloidal Silver can cause argyria (a permanent bluish-grey color of skin) with misuse. If infections or parasites are suspected, getting a proper medical diagnosis is crucial.

Skin softening is possibly linked to vata imbalances; calcium absorption could be enhanced with herbs like Moringa or Shatavari. Addressing diet and digestion (agni) could improve systemic health, focusing on dosha-appropriate food. Prioritize consulting with a qualified healthcare professional for serious or persistent issues to ensure a safe and comprehensive treatment plan.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. Manjula
I am an Ayurveda practitioner who’s honestly kind of obsessed with understanding what really caused someone’s illness—not just what hurts, but why it started in the first place. I work through Prakruti-Vikruti pareeksha, tongue analysis, lifestyle patterns, digestion history—little things most ppl skip over, but Ayurveda doesn’t. I look at the whole system and how it’s interacting with the world around it. Not just, like, “you have acidity, take this churna.” My main focus is on balancing doshas—Vata, Pitta, Kapha—not in a copy-paste way, but in a very personalized, live-and-evolving format. Because sometimes someone looks like a Pitta imbalance but actually it's their aggravated Vata stirring it up... it’s layered. I use herbal medicine, ahar-vihar (diet + daily routine), lifestyle modifications and also just plain conversations with the patient to bring the mind and body back to a rhythm. When that happens—healing starts showing up, gradually but strongly. I work with chronic conditions, gut imbalances, seasonal allergies, emotional stress patterns, even people who just “don’t feel right” anymore but don’t have a name for it. Prevention is also a huge part of what I do—Ayurveda isn’t just for after you fall sick. Helping someone stay aligned, even when nothing feels urgent, is maybe the most powerful part of this science. My entire practice is rooted in classical Ayurvedic texts—Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam—and I try to stay true to the system, but I also speak to people where they’re at. That means making the treatments doable in real life. No fancy lists of herbs no one can find. No shloka lectures unless someone wants them. Just real healing using real logic and intuition together. I care about precision in diagnosis. I don’t rush that part. I take time. Because one wrong assumption and you’re treating the shadow, not the source. And that’s what I try to avoid. My goal isn’t temporary relief—it’s to teach the body how to not need constant fixing. When someone walks away lighter, clearer, more in tune with their system—that’s the actual win.

Dr. Maitri Bhavesh Kumar Acharya
I am Dr. Maitri, currently in my 2nd year of MD in Dravyaguna, and yeah, I run my own Ayurvedic clinic in Ranoli where I’ve been seeing patients for 2 years now. Honestly, what pulled me into this path deeper is how powerful herbs really are—when used right. Not just randomly mixing churnas but actually understanding their rasa, virya, vipaka etc. That’s kinda my zone, where textbook knowledge meets day-to-day case handling. My practice revolves around helping people with PCOD, acne, dandruff, back pain, stiffness in knees or joints that never seem to go away. And I don’t jump to giving a long list of medicines straight away—first I spend time figuring out their prakriti, their habits, food cycle, what triggers what… basically all the small stuff that gets missed. Then comes the plan—herbs (single or compound), some diet reshuffling, and always some lifestyle nudges. Sometimes they’re tiny, like sleep timing. Sometimes big like proper seasonal detox. Being into Dravyaguna helps me get into the depth of herbs more confidently. I don’t just look at the symptom—I think okay what guna will counter this? Should the drug be snigdha, ushna, tikta? Is there a reverse vipaka that’ll hurt the agni? I ask these questions before writing any combo. That’s made a huge diff in outcomes. Like I had this case of chronic urticaria that would flare up every week, and just tweaking the herbs based on sheetala vs ushna nature... helped calm the system in 3 weeks flat. Not magic, just logic. I also work with women who are struggling with hormonal swings, mood, delayed periods or even unexplained breakouts. When hormones go haywire, the skin shows, digestion slows, and mind gets foggy too. I keep my approach full-circle—cleansing, balancing, rejuvenating. No quick fixes, I tell them early on. What I’m hoping to do more of now is make Ayurveda feel practical. Not overwhelming. Just simple tools—ahara, vihara, aushadha—used consistently, with some trust in the body’s own healing. I’m still learning, still refining, but honestly, seeing people feel in control of their health again—that’s what keeps me rooted to this.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

I am an Ayurvedic doctor, someone who’s pretty much built her clinical journey around natural healing, balance and yeah—just trying to help ppl feel a bit more whole again. I work mostly with conditions that kinda stay with people... like joint pain that won’t go away, periods all over the place, kids falling sick again n again, or just the kind of stress that messes up digestion n sleep n everything in between. A lot of my practice circles around arthritis, lower back pain, PCOD-ish symptoms, antenatal care, immunity problems in kids, and those quiet mental health imbalances ppl often don't talk much about. My approach isn’t just pulling herbs off a shelf and calling it a day. I spend time with classical diagnosis—checking Prakriti, figuring out doshas, seeing how much of this is physical and how much is coming from daily routine or emotional burnout. And treatments? Usually a mix of traditional Ayurvedic meds, Panchakarma (only if needed!!), changing food habits, tweaking the daily rhythm, and honestly... just slowing down sometimes. I’m also really into helping ppl understand themselves better—like once someone gets how their body is wired, things make more sense. I talk to patients about what actually suits their dosha, what throws them off balance, and how they can stop chasing quick fixes that don’t stick. Education's a big part of it. And yes, I’ve had patients walk in for constant cold and walk out realizing it’s more about weak agni n poor gut routines than just low immunity. Every case’s diff. Some are simple. Some not. But whether it’s a young woman trying to fix her cycles without hormones or a 6-year-old catching colds every week, I try building plans that last—not just short term relief stuff. Healing takes time and needs trust from both sides. End of the day, I try to keep it rooted—classical where it matters but flexible enough to blend with the world we're livin in rn. That balance is tricky, but worth it.

Dr. Narendrakumar V Mishra
I am a Consulting Ayurvedic Physician practicing since 1990—feels strange saying “over three decades” sometimes, but yeah, that’s the journey. I’ve spent these years working closely with chronic conditions that don’t always have clear answers in quick fixes. My main work has been around skin disorders, hair fall, scalp issues, and long-standing lifestyle stuff like diabetes, arthritis, and stress that kinda lingers under everything else. When someone walks into my clinic, I don’t jump to treat the problem on the surface. I start by understanding their *prakriti* and *vikriti*—what they’re made of, and what’s currently out of sync. That lets me build treatment plans that actually *fit* their system—not just push a medicine and hope it works. I use a mix of classical formulations, panchakarma if needed, dietary corrections, and slow, practical lifestyle changes. No overnight miracle talk. Just steady support. Hair fall and skin issues often feel cosmetic from outside—but internally? It’s about digestion, stress, liver, hormones... I’ve seen patients try 10+ things before landing in front of me. And sometimes they just need someone to *listen* before throwing herbs at the problem. That’s something I never skip. With arthritis and diabetes too, I take the same root-cause path. I give Ayurvedic medicines, but also work with *dinacharya*, *ahar* rules, and ways to reduce the load modern life puts on the body. We discuss sleep, food timing, mental state, all of it. I’ve also worked a lot with people dealing with high stress—career burnout, anxiety patterns, overthinking—and my approach there includes Ayurvedic counseling, herbal mind support, breathing routines... depends what suits them. My foundation is built on classical *samhitas*, clinical observation, and actual time with patients—not theories alone. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel well—not just for a few weeks, but in a way that actually lasts. Healing that feels like *them*, not just protocol. That’s what I keep aiming for.

I am working in Ayurveda field from some time now, started out as a general physician at Chauhan Ayurveda Hospital in Noida. That place taught me a lot—how to handle different types of patients in OPD, those daily cases like fever, digestion issues, body pain... but also chronic stuff which keeps coming back. After that I moved to Instant Aushadhalya—an online Ayurveda hospital setup. Whole different space. Consultations online ain’t easy at first—no pulse reading, no direct Nadi check—but you learn to ask the right things, look at patient’s tone, habit patterns, timing of symptoms... and yeah it actually works, sometimes even better than in person. Right now I’m working as an Ayurveda consultant at Digvijayam Clinic where I’m focusing more on individualised care. Most ppl come here with stress-related problems, digestion issues, joint pain, that kind of mix. I go by classic diagnosis principles like prakriti analysis, dosha imbalance and all, but also mix in what I learned from modern side—like understanding their lifestyle triggers, screen time, sleep cycles, food gaps n stress patterns. I don’t rush into panchakarma or heavy medicines unless it’s needed... prefer starting with simple herbs, diet change, basic daily routine correction. If things demand, then I go stepwise into Shodhan therapies. My goal is to not just “treat” but to help ppl know what’s happening in their body and why its reacting like that. That awareness kinda becomes half the cure already. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes ppl don’t follow what you say, sometimes results are slow, and yeah that gets to you. But this path feels honest. It’s slow, grounded, and meaningful.

I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

I am practicing Ayurveda for about 8 years now, feels strange saying that because honestly the learning never stops. My work is all about finding balance in the body, not in some abstract way, but literally working with each person’s unique prakriti and the vikriti they’re dealing with at that moment. I follow the classical principles — herbal formulations, Panchakarma therapies, diet corrections, lifestyle tweaks — but nothing is “one size fits all”. Each treatment plan is shaped by the person infront of me, their health history, and the small details you only catch when you really listen. Over time I’ve worked with people dealing with digestion troubles, joint pains, hormonal shifts, stress-related health dips, and even stubborn chronic stuff that didn’t respond much to other methods. My approach is to go for the root cause first, because treating just the symptoms feels like putting tape over a crack... it hides it for a while but doesn’t fix it. That’s also why I focus on prevention — if you stop the imbalance before it grows, you save a lot of pain later. I keep my learning alive by reading classical Ayurvedic texts and joining continuing education whenever I can fit it in (sometimes late nights with too much chai). And I try to pass that clarity on to patients, explaining why a certain herb or therapy is chosen, what changes they might notice, and how they can keep supporting themselves after treatment ends. For me, this is more than just work. It’s a way of living… making choices every day that keep the mind, body, and emotions in some kind of harmony. My goal is still the same as day one — offer care that’s authentic, safe, and actually works for the long run, while making sure the person feels heard and understood through the whole process.
