Hello I completely understand your concern. Long-term OCD, disturbed sleep, and liver weakness together indicate manasika (mental) and pittaja (liver-related) imbalance in your body. But don’t worry we are here to help you out😊

✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF MANAGEMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

✅ For OCD and disturbed sleep (Manas Roga Chikitsa)

1 Brahmi Vati (Gold) – 1 tablet twice daily after food (improves calmness and concentration).

2 Manasmitra Vatakam – 1 tablet twice daily (reduces obsessive thoughts, anxiety, and insomnia).

3 Ashwagandha Churna – 1 tspwith milk at bed time (restores balance, promotes good sleep).

✅For liver support and itching:

1 Lipomap 1-0-1 after food

2 Bhumyamalaki Churna – 1 tsp with honey daily to regenerate liver cells.

✅LOCAL AND RELAXATION THERAPIES

Shiro Abhyanga (Head Massage) – Use Ksheerabala Taila before bedtime; calms mind, reduces anxiety, and improves sleep.

Shirodhara Therapy – Pouring medicated oil (like Ksheerabala Taila ) on the forehead; helps in OCD, insomnia, and stress relief. ( To be done in near by panchakarma center)

Padabhyanga (Foot Massage) – Apply warm sesame oil before sleeping to reduce mental overactivity and promote deep sleep.

✅DIET MODIFICATION

✅Include:

Moong dal, rice gruel, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, pumpkin, and bitter vegetables. Warm cow’s milk with nutmeg (jaiphal) and ghee at bedtime for better sleep. Fresh fruits like pomegranate, amla, papaya, and apple. Use cow ghee regularly (it soothes Pitta and nourishes brain tissue).

❌Avoid: Fried, spicy, sour, fermented, and oily foods. Tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, and late-night screen time. Suppressing natural urges or excessive fasting.

✅ Lifestyle & Mind Care

Go to bed before 10:30 pm and wake up early.

Practice Brahmi Pranayama, Anulom-Vilom, and Yoga Nidra for 15–20 minutes daily.

Spend time in calm surroundings; avoid overthinking or overuse of mobile/social media.

Listening to calming instrumental music or mantra chanting before bed can help stabilize thoughts.

✅ When to Reduce Allopathic Medicines

Gradual reduction of psychiatric or liver-related medicines should be done only under the supervision of your treating doctor.

Ayurvedic support can help in the transition phase by balancing mind and liver function, but sudden withdrawal may cause rebound anxiety or sleeplessness.

With regular practice of Ayurvedic regimen for 6–8 weeks, you can expect –Improved mental peace and reduced compulsive thoughts –Sound and deep sleep –Reduction in liver inflammation and itching

Wishing you a good health😊

Warm regards, Dr Snehal Vidhate

(Ayurvedic Plan of Management)

(Internal Medications)

(Local & Relaxation Therapies)

(Diet Modifications)

(Lifestyle & Mind Care)

HELLO,

A) OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) In OCD, the mind becomes trapped in repetitive thoughts and actios You may know the thoughts or actions are unnecessary but still feel anxious unless you do them

FROM AYURVEDA’S VIEW -This is mainly due to vata imbalance in the brain-especially prana vata, which governs the nervous system and mental activity -sometimes pitta (the energy of the heat and intensity) also becomes high, leading to anger, perfectionism, or restless ness -When vata and pitta stay disturbed for long, they weaken mental clarity and increases activity anxiety and confusion fear- causing mental unrest and obsessive behaviour

B) SLEEP DISTURBANCES Ayurveda says sleep is one of the three pilers of health (along with food and regulated life) When the mind is overactive (vata-pitta aggravated), it becomes difficult difficult to calm down and enter deep sleep

COMMON CAUSES -mentaloverwork or screen exposure -irregular meal/sleep times -stress and anxiety -excess tea/coffee

C) LIVER PROBLEMS -The liver is the main seat of Pitta dosha, which represents digestion, metabolism and bile production. When pitta becomes excessive or gets mixed with toxins it causes -burning sensation or itching -fatigue or mild discomfort in the upper abdomen -allergies or skin rashes -irritability or anger (as liver heat affects the mind too)

So, mind ad liver are both disturbed by pitta and vata imbalance

TREATMENT GOALS -calm vata and pitta -detoxify liver and blood -nourish Ojas -restore sattva guna -promote sound sleep

INTERNAL MEDICATIOS

1) ASHWAGANDHA CAPSULES= 500mg cap twice daily with milk for 3 months =reduces stress, hormones, promotes sleep, nourishes nerves

GENERAL TIPS -eat in calm environment -do not skip meals -eat 2-3 hours before bedtime -drink warm water through the day

FOR GENTLE DETOX -TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime

-Your mind and body are deeply connected= healing one helps the other -OCD and insomnia are not signs of weakness; they are expressions of an imbalanced dosha system -Ayurveda doesn’t suppress symptoms- it restores harmony by calming the root disturbance -Be paitent- healing takes 8-12 weeks, but the effects are deep and lasting -consistency in lifestyle, diet, and thought patterns is the real medicine

“When the mind becomes stlll, the body heals naturally”

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

OCD, sleep disturbances, aur liver se related issues ko Ayurvedic nazariye se manage karna mumkin hai. Sabse pehle, aapke dosha imbalance ko samajhna zaroori hai. OCD aur sleep issues mein vata aur pitta dosha ki imbalance ho sakti hai.

OCD ke liye, Brahmi aur Ashwagandha jitne prachin hai uto neet utne hi laabhdaayi. Brahmi ko aap raat ko sone se pehle doodh ke saath le sakte hain, ashwaaagandha ke saath bhi. Ye man ko shaant karne mein madad karti hai. Din bhar anulom-vilom pranayama karein, isse mann aur sharir mein sanstha rehti hai.

Neeend ke liye, Vatashamak diet lowe — masale daar chijon se bachen aur garm doodh raat ko piye. Haldi aur nmish thodi muskm ki batan doodh ke saath lein. ye acche neend ko madat karte hai.

Liver ke liye, pitta-pacifying diett rakhey. Amalaki churna subah lene ka naseeh hai, aur triphala powder zurure use karein - maxximum liver detoxification ke liye raat ko paani ke sath le. Carrot, beetroot aur kalam pulaav bhi liver function ko sudharne ki kshamta rakhta hai.

khujli ke liye, chandanaasava toepically apply karte hai. Neem ka tail bhi use karey daily. Gharelua upaay jaise daahi ka lep bhi skin calming de mata rehta hai.

Aloe vera juice liver aur skin ke liye fсед hai.

In sab kaamal upayon ko apni routine mein dhire dhire include karein. alopathi dava lene se pehle kisi certified ayurveda vaidya se paramash karen, jo apko personally guide kar sake. aur finally, agar koi emergency kare pārikshe, medical expert ka salaa lena nahin bhoolen.

I am an Ayurvedic doc trained mainly in Shalakya Tantra—basically, I work a lot with issues of the eyes, ears, nose, oral cavity, head... all that ENT zone. It’s a really specific branch of Ayurveda, and I’ve kind of grown to appreciate how much it covers. I deal with all kinds of conditions like Netra Abhishyanda (kinda like conjunctivitis), Timira and Kacha (early or full-on cataract), Adhimantha (glaucoma stuff), Karna Srava (ear discharge), Pratishyaya (chronic colds n sinus), Mukhapaka (mouth ulcers), and even dental stuff like Dantaharsha (teeth sensitivity) or Shirashool (headaches & migraines). I use a mix of classic therapies—Tarpana, Nasya, Aschyotana, Karna Purana, even Gandusha and Dhoomapana when it fits. Depends on prakriti, the season, and where the person’s really struggling. Rasayana therapy and internal meds are there too of course but I don’t just throw them in blindly... every plan’s got to make sense to that individual. It’s kind of like detective work half the time. But honestly, my clinical work hasn't been just about Shalakya. I’ve got around two yrs of broader OPD experience where I’ve also handled chronic stuff like diabetes, thyroid issues, arthritis flares, PCOS, IBS-type gut problems, and some hormonal imbalances in women too. I kind of like digging into the layers of a case where stress is playing a role. Or when modern bloodwork says one thing, but the symptoms are telling me something else entirely. I use pathology insights but don’t let reports override what the patient's body is clearly saying. That balance—between classical Ayurvedic drishtis and modern diagnostic tools—is what I’m always aiming for. I also try to explain things to patients in a way they’ll get it. Because unless they’re on board and actually involved, no healing really works long-term, right? It’s not all picture-perfect. Sometimes I still re-read my Samhitas when I'm stuck or double check new case patterns. And sometimes my notes are a mess :) But I do try to keep learning and adapting while still keeping the core of Ayurveda intact.

Dr. Snehal Vidhate
I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Chaitrali Rajendra Tambe
I am someone who really believes that Ayurveda isn’t just about giving herbs and oils—it's more like a whole way of looking at the body, the habits, the food, and how everything connects together. I got solid training in Ayurvedic clinical practice and feel most confident when I'm using therapies like Panchakarma or planning proper Shodhana for someone who's stuck in a cycle of chronic illness or stress-related issues. There’s just something powerful about seeing how classical cleansing can bring that shift in energy and clarity for ppl who've tried everything else. I work a lot on dosha assessment—sometimes it takes a bit of digging cause symptoms don’t always line up in a textbook way. But once I figure out what’s really going off-balance, I try to make treatment super personalized. It’s not just about giving a kashayam or lepa... I spend time explaining diet changes, routines, sleep timing, and even emotional triggers when needed. Many people don’t realise how big a role lifestyle play in their conditions. Right now, I’m mostly focused on lifestyle disorders and detox-based therapies. Things like PCOS, fatty liver, skin allergies, joint stiffness, IBS, anxiety-linked issues… those come up a lot. I try not to rush. I’d rather go slow n consistent, combining classical concepts with modern diagnostics if needed. Blood tests, reports, scans—they help me track things while still keeping the treatment Ayurvedic in core. I’m also pretty organized about documenting my cases—not just for reference but to understand patterns better. I guess every case teaches you something new, even after hundreds of patients. And I do keep learning, whether it’s updating protocols or trying to refine a virechana schedule that didn’t go as planned. In the end, for me it’s really about finding that balance for each person... not just patching the symptom. I think that’s where Ayurveda really shines.

I am an Ayurvedic doctor trained at one of the most reputed institutes (yeah, the kind that makes u sweat but also feel proud lol) where I completed my BAMS with 70%—not just numbers but real grind behind it. My focus during & after graduation has always been on treating the patient not just the disease, and honestly that philosophy keeps guiding me even now. I usually see anywhere around 50 to 60 patients a day, sometimes more if there's a health camp or local rush. It’s hectic, but I kinda thrive in that rhythm. What matters to me is not the number but going deep into each case—reading every complaint, understanding symptoms, prakriti, current state, season changes etc. and putting together a treatment that feels “right” for that person, not just for the condition. Like, I don’t do one-size-fits-all plans. I sit down, make case reports (yup, proper handwritten notes sometimes), observe small shifts, modify herbs, suggest diet tweaks, even plan rest patterns when needed. I find that holistic angle super powerful. And patients feel it too—some who come in dull n restless, over weeks show clarity, skin settles, energy kinda gets back... that makes the day worth it tbh. There’s no shortcut to trust, and i get that. Maybe that’s why patients keep referring their siblings or maa-papa too. Not bragging, but when people say things like “you actually listened” or “I felt heard”, it stays in the back of my mind even when I’m dog tired lol. My goal? Just to keep learning, treating honestly and evolving as per what each new case teaches me. Ayurveda isn’t static—it grows with u if u let it. I guess I’m just walking that path, one custom plan at a time.

Dr. Nisha Bisht
I am an Ayurvedic physician with over 10 years of real, everyday experience—both in the clinical side and in managing systems behind the scenes. My journey started at Jiva Ayurveda in Faridabad, where I spent around 3 years juggling in-clinic and telemedicine consultations. That time taught me how different patient care can look when it’s just you, the person’s voice, and classical texts. No fancy setups—just your grasp on nidan and your ability to *listen properly*. Then I moved into a Medical Officer role at Uttaranchal Ayurved College in Dehradun, where I stayed for 7 years. It was more than just outpatient care—I was also involved in academic work, teaching students while continuing to treat patients. That phase really pushed me to re-read things with new eyes. You explain something to students one day and then end up applying it differently the next day on a patient. The loop between theory and practice became sharper there. Right now, I’m working as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Shivalik Hospital (part of the Shivalik Ayurved Institute in Dehradun). It’s a dual role—consulting patients *and* making sure the hospital ops run smooth. I get to ensure that the Ayurvedic care we deliver is both clinically sound and logistically strong. From patient case planning to supporting clinical staff and overseeing treatment quality—I keep an eye on all of it. Across all these years, my focus hasn’t changed much—I still work to blend classical Ayurved with today’s healthcare structure in a way that feels practical, safe and real. I don’t believe in overloading patients or selling “quick detox” ideas. I work on balancing doshas, rebuilding agni, planning proper chikitsa based on the person’s condition and constitution. Whether it’s lifestyle disorders, seasonal issues, chronic cases, or plain unexplained fatigue—I try to reach the cause before anything else. I still believe that Ayurved works best when it’s applied with clarity and humility—not overcomplicated or oversold. That’s the approach I carry into every patient room and every team meeting. It’s a long road, but it’s one I’m fully walking.

Dr. Haresh Vavadiya
I am an Ayurvedic doctor currently practicing at Ayushakti Ayurveda—which honestly feels more like a learning ecosystem than just a clinic. Being here has changed the way I look at chronic conditions. You don’t just treat the label—you go after the cause, layer by layer, and that takes patience, structure, and real connection with the person sitting in front of you. Ayushakti has been around 33+ years, with global reach and seriously refined clinical systems. That means I get to work with protocols that are both deeply rooted in traditional Ayurveda and also super practical for today’s world. Whether I’m managing arthritis, asthma, skin issues like eczema or psoriasis, hormone trouble, gut problems, or stress overload—my first step is always a deep analysis. Prakriti, doshas, ahar-vihar, past treatments—everything gets mapped out. Once I’ve got that picture clear, I create a plan using herbal medicines, detox programs (especially Panchakarma), Marma therapy if needed, and definitely food and routine corrections. But nothing’s random. Each piece is chosen for *that* person. And I don’t just prescribe—I explain. Because when someone knows *why* they’re doing a certain thing, they stick with it longer, and the results hold. One thing I’ve learned while working here is how powerful Ayurved can be when it's structured right. At Ayushakti, that structure exists. It helps me treat confidently and track results properly. Whether I’m working with a first-time visitor or a patient who’s been dealing with the same thing for 10 years, my goal stays the same—help their system return to a natural, sustainable state of balance. What I really enjoy is seeing how people’s mindset changes once they start to feel better. When they stop depending on just temporary relief and start building their health from within—that’s when the real shift happens. And being part of that shift? That’s why I do this.

I am currently pursuing my MD in Panchakarma, and by now I carry 3 yrs of steady clinical experience. Panchakarma for me is not just detox or some fancy retreat thing — it’s the core of how Ayurveda actually works to reset the system. During my journey I’ve handled patients with arthritis flares, chronic back pain, migraine, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalance, even skin and stress-related disorders... and in almost every case Panchakarma gave space for deeper healing than medicines alone. Working hands-on with procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana gave me a lot of practical insight. It's not just about performing the therapy, but understanding timing, patient strength, diet before and after, and how their mind-body reacts to cleansing. Some respond quick, others struggle with initial discomfort, and that’s where real patient support matters. I learnt to watch closely, adjust small details, and guide them through the whole process safely. My approach is always patient-centric. I don’t believe in pushing the same package to everyone. I first assess prakriti, agni, mental state, lifestyle, then decide what works best. Sometimes full Panchakarma isn’t even needed — simple modifications, herbs, or limited therapy sessions can bring results. And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.

I am currently a PG 2nd yr student in the dept of Shalakya Tantra at Parul Institute of Ayurveda and Research, batch 2024. I joined right after UG—no break—straight into PG (regular batch). I did my undergrad from Rajiv Gandhi Ayurveda Medical College (2017 batch, CCRAS syllabus under Pondicherry Univ). Somehow managed to secure 2nd rank university-wide back then, which I didn’t totally expect. Right now, my core interest lies in the Ayurvedic and integrative management of eye disorders. I’ve got decent exposure to both classical texts and clinical practice. From anatomy to pathology, I try to stay grounded in both the traditional Ayurvedic view and also the modern opthalmic understanding, especially with conditions related to the cornea, retina, and anterior segment. During PG deputation in 2nd year, I handled like 200+ OPD patients daily within 1–2 hrs (felt crazy at first but got used to the pace). I’m also trained hands-on in cataract and cornea surgeries under supervision. Not calling myself a surgeon yet, but I did get a good amout of surgical exposure in the PG postings. In terms of academics, I got 82% in the first-year PG exams—distinction score—secured department 1st and university topper at Parul Institute. Sometimes I do wonder if all this speed actually lets me go deep into each case but I’m learning to balance efficiency with proper patient care. Honestly I think that’s the biggest challenge in clinical ayurveda today—staying rooted in shastra while also being practically useful in today's overloaded OPDs. Anyway, still got a lot to learn, but I try to show up with clarity, humility and the will to keep improving every day.
