Premature ejaculation can often be connected to a vata imbalance in the body, affecting the nervous system’s function and causing a lack of control. In Siddha-Ayurveda, regaining this balance involves both internal and external approaches.
First, you should focus on diet adjustments to soothe vata dosha. Incorporate warm, unctuous foods like ghee, whole grains, and nuts, which help nourish the nervous system. Avoid cold, dry, and light foods which may exacerbate the vata imbalance. Stay hydrated and include spices like ginger and cinnamon that aid digestion and balance vata.
Herbal formulations with ashwagandha or shilajit, traditionally used in Siddha practice for their rejuvenating properties, might help increase stamina and control. You could take ashwagandha powder mixed with warm milk before bedtime, or shilajit with honey in the morning after meals, aiming for one to three months or until you notice improvement.
Alongside, practicing yoga and pranayama can greatly aid in stabilizing the mind and calming vata. Asanas like Paschimottanasana and Vajrasana are beneficial. Daily practice of deep, controlled breathing exercises (Nadi Shodhana or Anulom Vilom) can enhance nerve stability and reduce stress.
Also consider Abhyanga, the practice of oil massage (with sesame oil), which calms Vata when performed regularly. Massage the entire body before showering, focusing on the lower back and sacral region, enhancing circulation and sensory control.
It’s essential to approach this holistically and consistently. If symptoms persist, or there’s any change in your condition like experiencing pain or loss of erection, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare professional directly.
