The black and blurred spot in your vision, which appears in bright sunlight but not indoors, could be indicative of a Pitta imbalance affecting the eyes, possibly linked to excess heat or strain. In Ayurveda, the eyes are governed by Alochaka Pitta, and overexposure to sunlight or excessive screen time can aggravate this dosha. Cooling practices like applying rose water or Triphala eye wash, along with consuming Pitta-pacifying foods such as cucumber and leafy greens, may help. However, it’s crucial to consult an ophthalmologist to rule out any serious underlying conditions like retinal issues.

Having a black and blurred spot in your vision, especially when it’s only noticeable in sunlight, could be somewhat concerning. Sounds like this might be related to your eyes reacting to bright light, or potential strain.

But, I gotta say, this could be more than just an eye strain or a simple light sensitivity. Sometimes, those symptoms can signal a more serious condition like retinal issues, which need immediate attention from an ophthalmologist. You don’t wanna let that slide, you know? Better safe than sorry!

In terms of ayurveda, though, we often look at visual disturbances in the context of pitta dosha imbalance. Pitta, being firey in nature, can be aggrievated by bright light or external heat, which makes your symptoms worse in sunlight. Just to be certain, you should probably look out for other pitta related issues like acidity, iritability or skin rashes. Those could give you a clue that pitta is outta balance.

Meanwhile, consider doing a few things to pacify pitta – really helps when done consistently. Drink plenty of water, especially cooled water infused with mint or fennel. Awesome coolness for the eyes come from the humble cucumber, just slice them up, and place over the closed eyes; great for soothing the eyes. You can try more gentle eye-friendly activities, like palming. Rub your hands together vigorously and place them lightly over your eyes— provides the needed warmth and relaxation.

But, like I said, it’s very vital to have that checked by a doctor— so please make an appointment with an eye specialist ASAP. Anything involving sight should be treated with urgency. After all, clear sight is a gift you gotta cherish and take good care of. Once you’ve ruled out any serious issues, you can fully dive into Ayurveda approaches to keep everything in balance. Please do, lemme know how it goes.
