To address bloating and stomach discomfort, including more cooked and warm foods in your diet is beneficial. Favor foods that are easy to digest, such as warm cereals, stewed fruits, well-cooked vegetables, rice, and dal. Avoid raw salads, beans, aerated drinks, and cold foods/drinks as they can aggravate Vata. You might find sipping on ginger tea helpful in reducing bloating and enhancing digestion. It aids in improving agni (digestive fire) and can be consumed 2-3 times a day after meals, but ensure you’re comfortable with its spice level.

Pain in the heel could be a result of dryness and Vata imbalance. Regular self-massage with warm sesame oil or ghee can provide relief and improve blood circulation. Spend about 10-15 minutes before bedtime massaging your feet, followed by a warm water soak. A herbal powder called Dashamoola can be used if available, to enhance the effect by soaking in warm water infused with it.

For lethargy, consider daily routines involving gentle exercise such as yoga or walking. Focus on restful sleep and creating a calm, stable routine, as Vata benefits from regularity. Ensure you’re maintaining hydration with warm herbal teas like Tulsi or Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha might help with energy levels and stress reduction.

In the broader perspective, adapt a balanced lifestyle, avoiding extremes of emotions or environment; it keeps Vata balanced. If symptoms persist or worsen, seeking an Ayurvedic practitioner’s guidance is advisable. Also, any extreme pain or unexplained symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare provider without delay.
