Help with Eczema and Sinus-Related Migraines - #44988

Eczema and itchy rashes on both ankles and palms for thelast 2.5 years. The eczema issue has increased on both sides of both ankles, red scaly patches. Frequently getting sinus related migraine, right cheek bone, side of ear feels heavy. Off and on ,am on topical steroid creams and tablets. Please help

Namaste I can understand your concern Eczema can be very annoying when it is a long time and you have to use steroids, injections, and repeated suppressive treatments, but it still gets worse but dont worry we are here to help you out 😊

✅ CURRENT SKIN CONDITION

➡️ Extremely dry and flaky – requires internal + external unctuousness ➡️ Itchy & scaly from 2023 – deep, chronic ➡️ Topical steroids are not working – suggests the need for Shodhana

✅ AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PLAN

✅ SHODHANA (Detox + Srotoshodhana) (This is a light detox that you may perform at home) All these activities can be done at home, and they are safe.

👉 Morning Detox Drink Warm water + 1 tsp Triphala powder + 1 tsp Aloe vera juice Take it daily on an empty stomach.

👉 Once-a-week gentle Virechana (home-based) 2 tsp castor oil + warm milk at bedtime once a week Works to remove Pitta & Ama from the skin channels.

👉 Sinus Steam & Kapha Control

Regular steaming 5–7 mins every evening It helps in headache relief, nasal blockage, & the irritation in postnasal area.

✅SEROID DEPENDENCE

We will lessen the steroid need step by step by strengthening:

– Skin barrier – Immunity – Gut–skin axis – Vata–Kapha balance

Do NOT stop topical steroids suddenly – the risk of flare is very high.

Aapke case mein 2.5 saal se eczema, ankles par red-scaly rashes, palms par itching, aur saath-saath migraine/sinus pressure yeh sab ek hi root problem se judh kar aate hain:

1) Skin inflammation + immunity imbalance (eczema) Long-term eczema mein skin ki barrier weak ho jaati hai, isliye weather change, dryness, sweat, ya heat se flare ups badh jaate hain. 2) Sinus congestion + migraine Sinus blocks hone se cheek bone, ear side heavy feel hota hai — yeh immune irritation aur inflammation ka hi extension hota hai. 3) Steroid creams se temporary relief Steroids sirf upar-upar se symptoms ko daba dete hain, lekin andar ki heat, dryness, aur immune imbalance fir se eczema ko wapas la dete hain. 4) Eczema + migraine together = Pitta–Kapha imbalance Is combination mein body ke andar heat + congestion + dryness ka cycle ban jaata hai.

Achhi baat yeh hai ki Ayurveda mein is combination ka treatment bohot systematic aur effective hota hai, andar–bahar dono se, so that flare ups kam ho sake.

Internal Medicines- 1 Maha Manjisthadi Kashayam: 15ml mixed with 45ml warm water, twice daily before food. 2 Panchatikta Ghrita Guggulu: 2 tablets twice daily with warm water. 3 Lakshmi Vilas Ras (Nardiya): 1 tablet twice daily after food. 4 Haridra Khanda: 1 teaspoon twice daily with warm water.

External Therapy Nasya (Nasal Drops): Instill 2 drops of Anu Tailam in each nostril daily in the morning on an empty stomach. Local Application: Apply Ayyappala Keratailam or 777 Oil on the eczema patches twice daily.

Dietary Advice Exclusions: Strictly avoid curd (yogurt), cheese, sour foods (pickles, tamarind), fermented foods (idli, dosa), and sea fish.
