Hello I really get how frustrating and exhausting this must be for you. Dealing with pain in your fingers and thumb, stiffness, neck and shoulder aches, thyroid that just won’t settle, and even burping when you press on your muscles—especially for months on end—can wear anyone down.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING:

Your symptoms mostly come from a Vata-Kapha imbalance with weak Agni (digestion). Basically, when Vata goes out of balance, you feel pain, stiffness, and that cracking in your fingers and neck. Kapha makes everything feel heavy and tight, your muscles sluggish.

If your digestion (Agni) is weak, you get gas hence the burping whenever you press your muscles. The thyroid being off points to deeper issues with your metabolism (Medo dhatu and Agni), which can mess with your muscles, nerves, and joints. Stress just ramps up Vata, making all the pain and stiffness worse.

Ayurveda puts this sort of thing under Vata Vyadhi, early Aamvata (before major inflammation starts), and it’s linked to Galganda (thyroid problems).

So, what’s going on inside?

–Your digestion is struggling. – Food isn’t breaking down right, so toxins (Ama) start building up. –This Ama settles in your muscles and joints, blocks circulation, and leaves you with pain, stiffness, gas, and fatigue. –It’s not just your joints—it’s a deeper metabolic and muscle issue.

So what helps?

Ayurvedic Treatment Plan

The goal is to: 1. Clear out the Ama (toxins) 2. Balance Vata and Kapha 3. Get your thyroid steady and muscles stronger

INTERNAL MEDICATION

For pain, stiffness, and gas:

- Yograj Guggulu: 2 tablets twice a day after meals (helps with joint pain, stiffness, gas, and inflammation)

- Maharasnadi Kwath: 15 ml twice a day with warm water (cleans out muscles, nerves, and joints)

- Hingwashtak Churna: ½ teaspoon with the first bite of lunch and dinner (for gas, burping, and digestion)

For thyroid support

- Kanchanar Guggulu: 2 tablets twice a day after food (regulates thyroid and metabolism)

For strength and stress:

- Ashwagandha Churna: 3–5g at night with warm milk (strengthens muscles, eases stress, improves sleep)

EXTERNAL CARE

–Every night, massage Mahanarayan Taila or Ksheerabala Taila on your neck, shoulders, fingers, and upper back. –After the massage, use hot water fomentation for 10–15 minutes. This boosts blood flow, eases stiffness, calms Vata, and speeds up pain relief.

DIET AND LIFESTYLE (Honestly, this matters as much as the medicine)

Strictly avoid: - Cold food and drinks - Curd at night - Tea, coffee - Fried food - Bakery stuff - Late nights

Eat more: - Warm, fresh meals - Veggie soups - A little ghee - Ginger, cumin, ajwain - Warm water all day

DAILY EXERCISE (Just 10 minutes)

Do gentle: - Neck rotations - Shoulder rolls - Finger stretching - Anulom Vilom pranayama

Skip: - Heavy gym workouts - Sudden or jerky movements

This isn’t permanent arthritis. It’s a reversible Vata-Kapha metabolic-muscle imbalance with a thyroid twist. With regular treatment, good food, and some stress management, you can get back to feeling comfortable and flexible again.
