Long-standing dandruff with severe hair fall is commonly related to scalp inflammation along with stress and weakness of hair roots. Since stress is also present, controlling it is important for recovery. Avoid very hot water, harsh shampoos, excessive oiling, and frequent scratching of scalp. Use a mild anti-dandruff or sulphate-free shampoo 2 times weekly. Maintain proper sleep and hydration. At home, you can apply fresh aloe vera gel on scalp for 20–30 minutes before wash, 2 times weekly. Light coconut oil application with a pinch of camphor can also help reduce dandruff. Bhringraj churna – 1 teaspoon with warm water once daily Amla tablets – 1 tablet twice daily Gandhak rasayan – 1 tablet twice daily after food This will help reduce scalp irritation and support hair strength gradually.
