What is Pandu Rog in English, and how is it treated in Ayurveda? - #12434

Anonymously

I came across the term Pandu Rog and am curious to know its English equivalent and how it is treated in Ayurvedic medicine. I understand that Pandu Rog is commonly associated with anemia or iron deficiency, but I’d love to learn more about how it’s defined and treated in Ayurveda. What is Pandu Rog in English? I’ve read that it is often referred to as anemia, a condition where the body lacks enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin to carry adequate oxygen to the tissues. How does Ayurveda approach the treatment of Pandu Rog and restore blood health? I’ve heard that Ayurvedic remedies for Pandu Rog often focus on improving blood circulation, boosting hemoglobin levels, and balancing the doshas, especially Pitta and Vata. What are the most effective herbs or formulations used to treat anemia and increase iron absorption? Additionally, I read that Pandu Rog is linked to digestive health and liver function. How does Ayurveda focus on improving the digestive system, detoxifying the body, and promoting better absorption of nutrients to treat Pandu Rog? If anyone has experience with Ayurvedic treatments for Pandu Rog (anemia), I’d love to hear your insights. What remedies worked best for you, and how did you incorporate them into your routine? Looking forward to your insights!
