My father has been taking amiodarone for the past six months for an irregular heartbeat. While it has helped in managing his condition, the side effects have been really concerning. He often complains of fatigue, dizziness, and blurry vision, and recently, his skin seems to be getting darker. His doctor said these are common side effects of amiodarone, but we don’t want to just accept them without looking for solutions. I’ve read that amiodarone can affect liver function and thyroid levels over time. We want to continue his prescribed treatment, but we also want to support his body with Ayurveda to reduce these negative effects.
