My younger brother, who is only 27, was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and it has turned our entire world upside down. He was feeling weak for weeks, had frequent fevers, and even small cuts took forever to heal. We thought it was just stress or a vitamin deficiency, but when the doctors ran blood tests, they found that his white blood cell count was abnormally high. Further tests confirmed that it was leukemia. Now, he’s started chemotherapy, and while we trust the doctors, the side effects are hitting him hard. He’s constantly tired, has no appetite, and even small infections take a toll on his body. We’ve been reading a lot about how Ayurveda can support immunity and help with the side effects of chemotherapy. But we’re not sure which treatments or herbs are actually safe for someone undergoing treatment for leukemia. Are there Ayurvedic remedies that can help with the fatigue and low immunity that come with leukemia? Can Ayurveda be used alongside chemotherapy to reduce side effects, or is there a risk of interactions? We don’t want to replace medical treatment, but if there are natural ways to strengthen his body, we’d love to try them. Has anyone here or their family member used Ayurveda while going through leukemia treatment? What worked, and what should we be careful about?
