Deciding whether to undergo surgery for fibroids depends on several factors, including their size, location, symptoms, and their impact on fertility. In Ayurvedic view, fibroids are often seen as an imbalance in the body, specifically associated with aggravated Kapha and Vata doshas. While surgery can be an effective option, especially if fibroids are causing significant problems, Ayurveda offers approaches that may help manage and reduce their size over time, particularly if they are not causing major symptoms.
Fibroids of the size you’ve mentioned are relatively medium but could interfere with fertility, especially given their location. Since you mentioned experiencing only occasional pain and no bleeding, an Ayurvedic approach might be appropriate to try initially, especially if surgeries are not urgent. However, the presence of infertility issues suggests that a combination of approaches, including modern medical interventions, may be necessary.
Ayurvedically, consider implementing dietary and lifestyle changes to balance Kapha and Vata. Avoid heavy, oily, and cold foods which can aggravate these doshas. Favor light, warm, and easily digestable meals. Include spices like ginger and garlic which improve digestion and help reduce Kapha. Consider herbs like Ashoka, Guggulu, and Triphala that are traditionally used to manage uterine fibroids.
For Vitamin D deficiency, ensure you have adequate sunlight exposure and discuss appropriate supplements with your doctor, as this affects overall health and fertility. Since your AMH levels are low, indicating diminished ovarian reserve, it’s also crucial to consult a fertility specialist for a comprehensive treatment plan that might include assisted reproductive technologies. Remember, it’s essential to balance natural and modern approaches often involving professional guidance to ensure holistic, safe care tailored to your specific needs.
Deciding on surgery for fibroids often depends on several factors, including their size, location, symptoms, and impact on fertility. Given your situation with multiple fibroids and long-term infertility, it’s advisable to explore all available options.
In the Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, fibroids are associated with imbalances in Vata and Kapha doshas, disrupting the proper flow of energy and nutrients. Treatment focuses on balancing these doshas to potentially reduce fibroids’ progression and improve fertility health.
Since you report discomfort and right-sided pain, while not experiencing heavy bleeding, it’s vital to keep evaluating symptoms with a medical professional regularly. However, you can consider certain Ayurvedic approaches to support your health alongside conventional treatments. These might include herbs such as ashwagandha and shatavari, which are believed to help strengthen reproductive tissues, and incorporating triphala to detox and balance doshas. Regularly consuming a warm, anti-inflammatory diet with spices such as turmeric and ginger can aid in managing Vata-Kapha imbalances. However, these are supportive measures - not replacements for medical advice.
With vitamin D deficiency and a low AMH level indicating diminished ovarian reserve, nutritional support is crucial. Regular exposure to sunlight and including foods rich in vitamin D such as fortified grains or fish can benefit your levels. In such cases, continuous consultation with your healthcare provider is essential. Surgery might be necessary if fibroids have significant effects on fertility or if your symptoms worsen. Always prioritize working collaboratively with your doctors to pursue the most adaptable course of action tailored to your health needs.
