Seeking Natural Remedies for Acne and Scars - #52101

Client_69aa02
$3.51

I have pretty bad acne. When I eat a lot of sugary and spicy stuff I breakout. Currently right now, I have acne on my forehead, near my nose on my cheeks, chest, and back. I am using Vicco turmeric in the US and also using homemade treatments such as dal powder, oats, dahi yogurt, turmeric, and honey. It does calm down it a lot but I still have acne scars. I would like to treat my acne and scars/ pigmentation with products that you can find at my Indian home in America.

How long have you been experiencing acne?:

- More than 6 months

How severe is your acne on a scale of 1 to 10?:

- 7-9 (severe)

Do you have any known allergies or sensitivities to skincare ingredients?:

- Yes, to certain ingredients

Doctors' responses

–You have moderate to severe acne, which is why home remedies alone aren’t fully clearing it. Things like turmeric and yogurt can help calm the skin, but they don’t treat the root cause. Your breakouts are likely triggered by factors like excess oil, clogged pores, and diet—especially sugar, which you’ve noticed. I’d recommend continuing gentle natural care, but also adding a simple medicated product. –Internal Medicines: 1)Tab. Nimbadi Tablet 1 tablet twice daily after food 2)Mahamanjishtadi Kashayam 15 ml with equal water, twice daily before food — External Application: Nalpamaradi Keram Apply on face/body, leave 20 min, wash daily Ayurvedic Acne Soap For face, chest, back – twice daily —Pathya (Diet): Avoid: sugar, fried, spicy, junk food Take: light diet, fruits, vegetables, warm water – Follow-up: Review after 4 weeks

Acne coming on face chest and back and increasing after sugar and spicy food clearly shows a strong internal metabolic and inflammatory trigger and not just a surface level skin issue when high sugar foods are taken insulin levels increase which stimulates oil glands and inflammation leading to more breakouts spicy food in sensitive individuals can further aggravate this cycle This type of acne will calm temporarily with external applications like turmeric dahi oats but new acne keeps forming because the root cause inside is not corrected Internal correction is important Avipattikar Churna half teaspoon at bedtime with warm water helps reduce acidity and improves digestion which directly influences skin Manjishtadi Kashayam fifteen ml with equal water twice daily after food helps in reducing inflammation and improving skin clarity Khadirarishtam fifteen ml with equal water after lunch and dinner supports chronic acne and skin purification Externally Nalpamaradi Keram apply on face chest and back before bath for fifteen to twenty minutes daily helps reduce acne marks and improves uneven skin tone for active pimples apply a small amount of turmeric with honey only on lesions to reduce inflammation avoid applying thick layers on full face Homemade scrubs like dal powder and oats should be used only twice weekly and very gently because frequent scrubbing irritates skin and increases pigmentation Diet control is essential completely reduce sugar sweets bakery items and processed food as they directly worsen acne include simple home food vegetables fruits soaked almonds and add Flaxseed daily which helps reduce inflammation one cup Spearmint tea daily can help in reducing excess oil activity Maintain proper sleep avoid picking acne and keep routine simple and consistent improvement in active acne can be seen in three to four weeks and scars will gradually reduce over two to three months with regular care

Your acne is mainly happening because of internal heat and inflammation that gets triggered when you eat sugary and spicy food the breakouts on forehead cheeks chest and back show that your body is reacting strongly to those triggers and that creates pimples and later scars or pigmentation For internal support you can take nimbadi kwath tablet twice daily after food and khadira aristha 15 ml with equal warm water twice daily after food these help detoxify blood reduce inflammation and prevent new breakouts For external care apply swarna mukhi face pack 2 to 3 times weekly on affected areas and nalpramadi tailam daily on pimples and scars it soothes skin heals inflammation and helps lighten pigmentation Avoid picking or squeezing pimples as that increases scars Keep your diet balanced avoid excess sugar spicy fried and processed food and drink plenty of water With consistent internal and external care you will see fewer breakouts in a few weeks and over time acne scars and pigmentation will gradually fade

Namaste, Acne with breakouts on face, chest, and back, especially triggered by sugary and spicy foods, is usually related to internal heat, digestion imbalance, and hormonal factors. Simple measures that may help: Avoid excess sugar, spicy, fried, and processed foods, as you already noticed they trigger acne. Keep your diet simple, fresh, and balanced with fruits, vegetables, and enough water. Avoid frequent touching or picking acne, as it can worsen scars. Wash face 2 times daily with mild cleanser and keep skin clean but not over-dry. Use simple home remedies like multani mitti, turmeric, or sandalwood occasionally (not daily if skin is sensitive). For scars, patience is important as they fade gradually over time. Your current use of Vicco turmeric and gentle home packs is fine, just avoid overuse or too many combinations. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support acne and skin healing include: Manjistha – traditionally used to support skin purification and reduce acne. Neem – commonly used to support skin health and reduce breakouts. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

Apply Chandan lep on your face regularly. Take Trifala Guggulu – 1 tablet three times a day. Take Avipattikar Churna – 1 teaspoon at night. Follow this treatment consistently for one month. We will review your progress and modify the treatment in the next month accordingly. I would also recommend booking an online consultation. That will help me assess your skin condition properly, understand your Prakriti and dosha imbalance, and guide you with a more personalized and effective treatment plan.
