I was first diagnosed with eczema in 2021 and was on ayurvedic medication (Charmatejas capsules & Churnam) for about a year. Symptoms began recurring since 2023. Current symptoms/history: Eczema-related hyperpigmentation patches on the abdomen, thighs, hands, and a small patch on the forehead (95% faded). Patches vary in size (all under 4 cm), with some appearing as small specks/dots. No active itching in these patches; all are in different stages of fading. Main concern: achieving an even skin tone. Mild to moderate itching in the groin/private area for the past 6–7 months, mainly around menstruation and sometimes afterward. I use a topical cream for relief. Past associated symptoms: Allergic rhinitis Eyelid itching Eczema Hyperpigmentation As of 2026, only eczema-related skin concerns persist. Lifestyle: Healthy diet and lifestyle with mild stress levels. Practice Tai Chi regularly for the last 6 months Morning routine includes warm water and lightly steamed ABC juice (with fibre) along with 1 amla and 1/2 guava (along with seeds) every day Breakfast: black soybean, black rice, sesame seed congee, or veg sandwich. Lunch: small portion of rice with vegetables. I avoid dairy, dairy products, sugar, bakery items, packed & preserved food, brinjal, prawns, dry fish, coffee, and tea. I rarely experience bloating or heaviness. Sleep by 12:30 AM maximum. Goal: Achieve an even and bright skin tone Complete relief from eczema

Managing Post-Eczema Hyperpigmentation (Twak Vaivarnya) Since there is no active inflammation or itching in these patches, the goal is purely Varnya (complexion-restoring) and Rakta Shodhana (blood purification) to support the skin’s natural renewal process. Topical Interventions (Bahiparimarjana Chikitsa) •Kumkumadi Tailam / Nalpamaradi Thailam: Application: Apply 3–5 drops to the forehead patch and a sufficient amount to the abdomen, thighs, and hands. Method: Gently massage in an upward direction until absorbed. Leave it on for 30–45 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. For the face, Kumkumadi is highly effective; for body patches, Nalpamaradi (rich in bark from the four Ficus species) is excellent for post-inflammatory spots. Internal Blood Purifiers (Abhyantara Chikitsa) •Sarivadya Asava or Khadirarishta: Dosage: 15–20 ml with an equal quantity of lukewarm water, twice daily after meals. These formulations help cleanse the Rakta Dhatu (blood tissue), which directly influences the clarity of the Twak (skin). Manjishtadi Kwath: An excellent systemic Varnya (complexion enhancer) herb that assists the liver and blood in clearing residual metabolic wastes (Ama) responsible for uneven pigmentation. 2. Managing Groin Itching (Yoni/Bhaga Kandu) Itching is primarily mediated by Kapha Dosha, while the cyclical nature (worsening around menstruation) points to an involvement of Vata and Artava Vaha Srotas. Moisture accumulation in this anatomical region creates a breeding ground for superficial fungal or bacterial activity. Local Hygiene & Soothing Protocols •Triphala Prakshalana (vaginal/Groin Wash): •Preparation: Boil 1 tablespoon of Triphala Churna in 1 liter of water. Reduce it slightly, strain it thoroughly using a clean cloth, and let it cool down to a lukewarm temperature. •Usage: Use this decoction to wash the external groin area daily, especially during and immediately after your menstrual cycle. Triphala possesses potent antimicrobial (Krimighna) and astringent qualities that reduce dampness and itching. •Topical Application: Instead of relying heavily on chemical-laden over-the-counter creams, you may consider applying Jatyadi Taila or Gandhaka Malahara (an Ayurvedic sulfur-based ointment) to the clean, dry affected area. They soothe irritated skin and manage localized pathogens without altering the natural pH of the flora. •Internal Support •Haridra Khanda: •Dosage: 1 teaspoon (approx. 3–5 grams) with lukewarm water or milk, twice daily.
