I’ve been dealing with constant worry and anxiety for as long as I can remember. No matter what’s going on in my life, I always seem to feel on edge, unable to relax or stop my mind from racing. My doctor recently diagnosed me with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), which explained a lot of the symptoms I’ve been experiencing, such as excessive worrying, difficulty concentrating, and physical symptoms like muscle tension and headaches. While I’ve been prescribed medication to help manage the anxiety, I’m not entirely comfortable with the idea of being on medication long-term, especially since I’d prefer to address the root cause of my anxiety rather than just masking the symptoms. I’ve heard that GAD can sometimes be related to imbalances in the mind-body connection, and I’m interested in exploring how Ayurveda can help me manage my anxiety naturally. I’ve read that Ayurvedic practices, including meditation, yoga, and specific herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, can help calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety.
