alkaline phosphatase - #17577
For the last few months, I've been feeling really off, like my body is just not functioning the way it should. I’ve been getting random pain in my joints, especially in my knees and wrists, and my energy levels have completely tanked. At first, I thought maybe it was just because I wasn’t sleeping well, but even on the days when I do get a full night's sleep, I still wake up feeling exhausted. My digestion has been weird too—some days I have no appetite at all, and other times I get bloated even after eating something light. Last week, I finally went to the doctor and got some blood tests done. The results showed that my alkaline phosphatase levels were higher than normal. I had no idea what that even meant, so I googled it, and now I’m more confused than before. From what I read, alkaline phosphatase is linked to the liver, bones, and sometimes digestion, but I don’t really understand what could be causing my levels to go up. The doctor didn’t seem too concerned and just told me to come back in a few months for another test, but I don’t want to wait around while my body keeps feeling worse. I was wondering if Ayurveda has any natural ways to manage alkaline phosphatase levels? Could this be related to some imbalance in my doshas? I don’t take any heavy medications, but I have a pretty stressful job and my diet is all over the place—sometimes I eat home-cooked food, but other times I just grab whatever’s convenient. Also, I don’t drink much water, could that be affecting my alkaline phosphatase too? If anyone here has dealt with high alkaline phosphatase levels before, did Ayurveda help? Are there specific herbs or lifestyle changes that can bring it back to normal? I don’t want to ignore this and end up with a bigger health issue later. Any advice would be really appreciated.
