itchy pubic area - #18237
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been dealing with this really uncomfortable itchy pubic area, and it’s starting to drive me crazy. At first, I thought maybe it was because of sweating, since it's been hot lately. But even after making sure to keep the area dry and clean, the itching hasn’t gone away. In fact, some days it feels even worse, especially at night. I checked for rashes, but there’s nothing obvious except some slight redness. It’s not painful, but the itching is constant, and it feels like it’s under the skin. I switched to loose cotton underwear, stopped using any scented soaps, and even tried coconut oil to soothe the area, but nothing is helping long-term. I’m starting to get worried that it could be some kind of infection or maybe even a fungal issue? The weirdest part is that my skin also feels sensitive in that area, like it's irritated even though I haven’t used any harsh products. I haven't changed my detergent, and I haven’t been shaving or anything, so I really don’t understand what’s causing this itchy pubic area. I don’t really wanna take any heavy medications or use steroid creams, so I was wondering if Ayurveda has any natural solutions for this. Are there herbs or oils that can help with itching? Could this be related to internal body heat or an imbalance in Pitta or Kapha? Also, does Ayurveda recommend any special diet changes for skin issues like this? It’s getting really frustrating, and I just want to stop constantly feeling uncomfortable. Would love to hear if there’s an Ayurvedic way to fix this from the root instead of just masking the itching temporarily.
