Another issue is that many pregnant women struggle with digestive issues and poor nutrient absorption, which can affect fetal nourishment. Since Ayurveda explains that weak Agni (digestive fire) leads to malabsorption, does it recommend any herbal formulations, dietary adjustments, or gut-healing therapies to improve nutrient absorption and prevent deficiencies linked to NTDs? I also read that stress and exposure to toxins could increase the risk of NTDs. Since Ayurveda places importance on mental well-being during pregnancy, does it recommend specific meditation techniques, lifestyle modifications, or herbal teas to ensure a stress-free pregnancy and prevent birth defects? Another concern is that many processed foods lack essential nutrients, which may contribute to NTDs. Since Ayurveda values a natural, whole-food-based diet, does it suggest any nutrient-rich Ayurvedic recipes, herbal tonics, or superfoods that provide the necessary nutrients for healthy fetal development? Would Ayurvedic dietary guidelines help ensure that pregnant women get enough folic acid and other essential vitamins naturally? Since I want to understand natural approaches to a healthy pregnancy, I am looking for the best Ayurvedic recommendations, herbal supplements, and dietary practices to support fetal neural development and prevent NTDs.
