Prostate is a muscular organ . In this condition the organ size increases which is causing the above mentioned symptoms. In ayurved we use medication that has a property such as scrapping and reducing the size of prostate giving relief in symptoms.

Hi Ravindran,

Thank you for sharing the details. 1. How long have you been experiencing these symptoms (weak urine flow, dripping urine, and erection issues)? 2. Have you been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate by a healthcare provider, and are you currently taking any medications or following any treatments for it? 3. Do you experience any pain or discomfort while urinating or during intercourse?

From what you’re describing, it sounds like you could be dealing with some common symptoms of prostate enlargement, also known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). This can certainly be frustrating, but let’s talk about what might help.

Yoga can be a beneficial tool in managing such issues and strengthening those pelvic floor muscles might just be a part of it. Ashwini Mudra is a good exercise you can continue with. It involves contracting and releasing the pelvic floor muscles - basically like you’re trying to stop urination midway. Reps of 10-15, held for few seconds each, should be alright. Practicing daily can help improve muscle tone over time.

Also, try Vajrasana; sitting in that pose aids digestion and can relieve pressure on the prostate. You can sit in vajrasana after meals, even for 5 to 10 minutes. Another one is Malasana (the squat), which helps in increasing blood flow to the pelvic area, which is also beneficial.

While yoga might help, let’s not overlook the role of diet and lifestyle – super important. Do try to keep your diet light and avoid heavy, spicy, or oily food. Go for lots of green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and plenty of water to keep the system flush. Regular walks are good too. They’re simple but can really help to improve circulation.

Now, regarding that part on sexual performance, it’s tightly connected to stress levels and general lifestyle too. Pranayama (breathing exercises) like Anulom Vilom can calm mind and might indirectly help with more control down there.

But hey, it’s crucial to work with a healthcare professional, to ensure there’s nothing more serious going on. It’s worth checking any medication or specific treatment if things don’t seem to improve. Take it steady, and listen to your body.
