Hi Arjun, Can you tell me if your symptoms, like sneezing and a runny nose, are triggered by certain allergens (like dust, pollen, or cold air)? Also, do you experience any digestive issues or discomfort due to your hernia? The combination of respiratory symptoms and abdominal pain could indicate an imbalance in your immune system or digestive health. Ayurveda offers remedies like Triphala, Tulsi, and Ginger to support digestion and immunity, but it’s important to address the hernia as well for long-term relief.

Dealing with a consistently runny nose, sneezing and abdominal pain can be so bothersome, I totally get that. And along with umbilical hernia...it definitely requires some careful attention. If you've already tried allopathic treatments and they didn't work, let's see what Ayurveda might offer. Firstly, to tackle that nasal discomfort, it might be due to heightened kapha dosha, which causes overproduction of mucus. A simple remedy you could try is steam inhalation with a drop of eucalyptus oil or tulsi leaves. Do this every morning after you wake up, for about 5-10 minutes, to help clear the nasal passages and ease sneezing. You could try drinking some warm ginger tea throughout the day, ginger is kapha-pacifying, aids digestion, and even promotes circulation. On to your abdominal pain and umbilical hernia, we have to be cautious. It's crucial not to strain your stomach area. Avoid any heavy lifting or exercises that stress the abdominal muscles. Gentle yoga might be beneficial. Pavanmuktasana (wind-relieving pose)—is excellent but, of course, do it cautiously. Diet-wise, you want to keep things clean and simple. Eat light, easily digestible foods. I'm thinking of warm, cooked veggies like carrots, zucchini, or pumpkin. Go easy on the grains, maybe stick with well-cooked rice. Spices like cumin, coriander, and asafoetida can really help with digestion and reduce bloating. Stay away from cold or raw foods, they'll aggravate kapha and vata. But since umbilical hernia can sometimes be serious, make sure to keep in close touch with your healthcare provider or maybe even a specialist in Ayurveda who can assess the severity in person. It's key to tackle these symptoms holistically, but prioritize safety above all. If you ever feel sudden increase in pain or if the hernia is bulging more than usual, seek immediate medical help.
