A woman’s natural fertility declines significantly after 35, and menopause (typically occurs between 45-55) However, some women may conceive with medical assistance even in their late 40 also.

Yes, a woman can get pregnant after a stillbirth, depending on her overall health and reproductive condition. It is generally advised to wait at least 6 months to a year before trying again to allow physical and emotional healing. However, the ideal waiting period varies based on medical history, cause of stillbirth, and doctor’s recommendations.

At 36, if you’re considering pregnancy, optimizing health with a balanced diet, managing underlying conditions (like thyroid, insulin resistance, or PCOS), and consulting a fertility specialist can improve chances. The age at which a woman can no longer get pregnant varies, but most women experience menopause between the ages of 45 to 55. This transition marks the end of menstruation, as the ovaries stop releasing eggs, reducing the chances of pregnancy significantly. However, it is possible, albeit rare, for some women to conceive naturally right up until menopause.

Regarding pregnancy after stillbirth, the chance of conceiving again remains if no medical complications have disrupted the reproductive system. Many women successfully have healthy pregnancies after such a tragic event. Modern obstetrics offers support and monitoring to ensure a subsequent pregnancy is managed carefully, reducing further risks.

As for timing, it’s individual and greatly depends on both physical and emotional readiness. Medically, doctors often recommend waiting at least 6 months to a year before trying to conceive again. This helps ensure the body has healed and hormonal balance restored, but this duration can vary depending on specific circumstances, personal health, and emotional state.

Emotionally, the healing process can take different lengths for different women, and it’s important to be in a sweet spot where one feels ready to embark on another pregnancy. Consultation with a healthcare provider will ensure that any underlying issues, if present, are managed alongside emotional readiness.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, ensuring proper nourishment and balance before the next pregnancy helps to build shuddha garbha (pure pregnancy). Balancing the doshas, bringing Agni (digestive fire) into alignment, and nourishing the dhatus (body tissues) through diet and lifestyle tailorings are vital. Warm, nutrient-rich foods like kitchari, ghee, and herbal infusions known to balance Vata are generally recommended, but it’s best individualized. Be sure to work closely with a healthcare or Ayurvedic practitioner to address any specific needs.
