Based on your condition, it appears to be *Dhatukshayajanya Dushti*. Therefore, our primary focus should be on *Dhatupushti*. However, before prescribing any treatment, I would like to know whether you have ever undergone a thyroid function test. If so, please provide the test results. Additionally, kindly share your body weight.

Dr. Swathimutthu Prasad B N
I’m Dr. Swathimutthu B N, and my practice is deeply rooted in the Ayurvedic care of women’s health, with a focus on balancing hormones, enhancing fertility, and supporting every stage of the reproductive journey. My core areas of expertise include managing menstrual irregularities, painful periods, PCOS, endometriosis, PMS, and menopausal challenges through individualized, holistic care. I also provide preconception counseling and comprehensive postpartum support to promote safe and natural recovery. One of my key strengths lies in addressing infertility in both men and women. I integrate Ayurvedic detoxification therapies like Panchakarma, herbal formulations, and lifestyle interventions to naturally enhance fertility, regulate ovulation, and improve sperm health. My goal is to identify and treat the root causes of reproductive imbalances rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms. Each consultation begins with an in-depth assessment of the patient’s Prakriti (constitution) and Vikriti (current imbalances), allowing me to create highly personalized treatment plans. These plans often include Ayurvedic therapies, dietary adjustments, yoga, pranayama, and stress-relief techniques—customized for long-term vitality and well-being. My approach is not just about treatment, but about walking alongside my patients throughout their healing journey. Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, managing chronic hormonal issues, or navigating the emotional shifts of menopause, I provide close follow-up, emotional support, and continuous guidance. I am committed to building a compassionate, evidence-based practice rooted in Ayurvedic science. By combining ancient wisdom with modern insights, I aim to empower each individual to reclaim their health naturally, safely, and sustainably. If you’re seeking a thoughtful, personalized, and holistic approach to women’s health and fertility, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

It sounds like you're dealing with some complex menstrual irregularities, which can indeed be frustrating, especially when trying for pregnancy. In Ayurveda, such conditions are often related to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta dosha, which govern blood flow and hormonal balance. Let’s consider some ayurvedic perspectives and practical steps that could help. Firstly, looking at your symptoms, we need to focus on bringing a balance to your reproductive system by nourishing the body and improving Ojas (vital energy). One way to do that is through diet. Incorporate more warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest, like soups and stews. You might want to include more sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and almonds, which nourish the reproductive tissues. Drinking warm water with a pinch of dried ginger or cinnamon can also support your cycle. Avoid cold, dry and processed foods as they can aggravate Vata dosha. Herbs such as Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Lodhra can play a significant role in regulating periods. Taking 1 teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder with warm milk at night can help in balancing the hormones. Shatavari is particularly beneficial for female reproductive health, consuming 1 teaspoon in warm water twice a day may help. Abhyanga, a form of self-massage with warm sesame oil, is excellent for calming Vata dosha and improving circulation. Doing this daily before bath/shower can promote relaxation and balance. In case of severe or persisting symptoms, seeking further medical evaluation is crucial because sometimes underlying conditions like thyroid issues need comprehensive care. Also, it's important to continue working with your gyneacologist, ensuring a physician monitors any integration of Ayurvedic practices with your current treatment. Ayurvedic therapies should complement, not replace, conventional medical treatement especially when trying for pregnancy or resolving menstrual issues.
