Managing H. pylori and related digestive issues through Ayurveda requires a blend of dietary adjustments, herbal remedies, and lifestyle modifications. Your symptoms like gas, constipation, and indigestion suggests an imbalance in your digestive fire, or agni. Firstly, focusing on a Vata and Pitta pacifying diet would be beneficial. Consume warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest - think of rice, cooked vegetables like zucchini, and soups. Avoid raw and cold foods, as well as spicy, fermented or deep-fried items which could aggravate your condition. Incorporate herbs such as triphala and licorice into your routine. Triphala helps promote regular bowel movements and can be taken about half a teaspoon with warm water before bedtime. Licorice acts as a soothing agent for the stomach lining and can deter the furthering of ulcers. Remember not to overuse, especially if you have high blood pressure, as licorice might intensify it. For H. pylori, turmeric with its active compound curcumin holds antibacterial properties. Taking a teaspoon of turmeric powder mixed in a cup of warm milk can be beneficial; add a pinch of black pepper to aid absorption. Aloe vera juice, when consumed first thing in the morning, can also help heal and soothe the gastrointestinal tract. Maintaining a regular eating schedule and mindfully chewing your food supports agni. Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent indigestion. Keeping your lifestyle stress levels in check using simple pranayama techniques like deep breathing can also regulate both digestion and symptoms like cold legs. It’s important to stay hydrated: sip on warm water throughout the day to maintain proper digestion. However, since yours are long-term symptoms, consulting with a qualified healthcare practitioner for personalized advice and monitoring would be crucial. Ayurveda can support your healing process but, it's important to combine it with appropriate medical guidance to prevent complications. And most importantly, stay consistent with the practice and give your body some time to work through these recommendations.
