Your prolonged bleeding is likely due to severely uncontrolled hypothyroidism (TSH >79), which disrupts hormones and leads to long periods.

To Stop/Reduce Bleeding: Ashokarishta – 15 ml twice daily after meals

Nagkesar churna – 1 tsp with honey or rice water twice daily

Praval Pishti + Mukta Pishti – 125 mg each with honey twice daily

Kanchanar Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after meals (FOR THYROID)

Avoid cold food, sour curd, stress, and overexertion.

Also, please consult a doctor to urgently to adjust thyroid meds—it’s key to stop the bleeding at the root.

bless you .

It sounds like you’re experiencing prolonged menstrual bleeding, known as menorrhagia, which can be concerning. Your hypothyroidism and elevated TSH levels can indeed be a contributing factor. Hypothyroidism can affect menstrual cycles, often causing heavier and longer periods. Addressing your thyroid imbalance is crucial - please consult with your endocrinologist about adjusting your thyroid medication dosage to stabilize your TSH levels.

Now, from an Ayurvedic perspective, we aim at addressing both immediate symptoms and underlying imbalances. Prolonged menses could be linked with pitta imbalance, leading to excess heat and increased bleeding. To help manage the symptoms, diet and lifestyle modifications are beneficial:

1. Incorporate cooling foods to balance Pitta. Favor foods like cucumber, watermelon, coconut water, and plenty of green leafy vegetables. Avoid spicy, fried, and oily foods that can aggravate Pitta.

2. Consider herbal remedies like Ashoka (Saraca indica) and Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), traditionally used to manage excessive bleeding. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized dosages.

3. Practice gentle yoga and pranayama to maintain calmness and reduce stress, which can impact hormonal balance. Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) is calming and helps clear doshic imbalances.

4. Ensure proper hydration, focusing on room-temperature water, herbal teas, or fenugreek water. Avoid caffeinated beverages, which can worsen the bleeding due to their dehydrating nature.

5. Rest and adequate sleep are vital. Over-exertion should be avoided during prolonged periods of bleeding, as it can worsen fatigue and stress.

It’s important to address this promptly, as prolonged bleeding can lead to anemia and other health complications. While these measures can offer some relief, ensure you’re seeking regular medical care for your thyroid condition, and consult healthcare provider for persistent bleeding.
