My Daily Routine: I wake up between 6 to 7 AM and go to sleep by 11 PM. My Diet: Morning (empty stomach): I take a powder with warm water (made of flax seeds, fenugreek seeds, carom seeds, and cinnamon). Breakfast: I eat one of these – sprouts, sattu chilla, roasted chana, juice (made of beetroot, tomato, and carrot), or soaked almonds. Lunch: 1 vegetable + lentils (dal) + 1–2 chapatis. Dinner: 1 chapati + lentils (dal) with salad (cucumber and tomato). Other Habits: I drink 8–10 glasses of water daily, along with flax seeds and mint water. I have completely stopped consuming sugar and tea. ---

Okay doctor I'll try this
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD) can indeed bring multiple challenges, including weight gain, irregular periods, and those pesky symptoms like hair growth and hair fall. In Ayurveda, PCOD is usually linked to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Kapha and Vata. This can affect your agni, or digestive fire, leading to metabolic and hormonal disturbances. Let's try to tackle this step by step: First, addressing weight gain and digestion is crucial. A Kapha-pacifying diet can help. Reduce intake of heavy, oily, and cold foods. Opt instead for light, warming, and easily digestible meals. Include more barley, millets like ragi or jowar, and green leafy vegetables in your diet. Avoid dairy, especially full-fat milk, which can increase Kapha. Include spices like cumin, coriander, and fenugreek, which supports digestion and improve metabolism. For hormonal balance, Ashwagandha is a great option. It's adaptogenic and can stabilize mood swings. You can take it as a powder (1 tsp) mixed with warm water or milk at night. Shatavari is also beneficial, especially for regulating menstruation - 1 tsp with lukewarm water twice daily is recommended. Turmeric, for instance, mixed with warm milk, tackles hormonal imbalance due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Lifestyle choices are just as important. Regular exercise helps immensely by reducing Kapha and regulating metabolism. A routine of at least 30-45 minutes of brisk walking, yoga or any cardio activity can be very helpful. Regular sleep schedule enhances hormonal balance. Try for at least 7-8 hours of sound sleep; too much or too little can escalate symptoms. Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm sesame oil reduces Vata imbalance, which helps with dry skin and calming the nervous system. Stress is another aggravating factor in PCOD. Practice mindfulness, meditation or deep breathing exercises for at least 10-15 mins daily. It can stabilize your mood and improve overall health. In these cases, herbal formulations like Trikatu (Sanskrit for "three spices") can promote effective digestion, but it's wise to consult a specialist for personalized dosages. Remember, these recommendations need patience and consistency but could bring significant improvements if followed diligently. Regular check-ups with your physician and integrating these practices harmoniously with any prescribed medications is essential.
